Blackpink group member Kim Jennie turns naked ambassador for Sprite

Sprite struck a decisive blow against its rivals on Friday when it unveiled its newest ambassador – in all her nude glory. Standing beside a life-sized prop of a Sprite bottle wearing only a sticker on her left arm, Kim Jennie of the South Korean girl group Blackpink kept her lustrous hair to the side and her hands at the back as she exhibited her mouthwatering breasts and well-trimmed pubic hair with a seductive smile. Sprite is running the ad with the provocative double entredre “TAKE ME”, and it disclosed that sales of the drink went up by 650% within 24 hours. Photos uploaded onto social media from around the world also depicted long queues outside beverage shops.​

CNN learned from our Seoul office that the unveiling took place at a public square in Yeouido Hangang Park, drawing hundreds of onlookers. Images captured by our local photographer also indicate that Jennie initially arrived at the venue fully clothed, albeit in a crop top and ripped shorts that showed off her sexy abs and long legs.

In scenes described as “unbelievable” by our photographer, Jennie took off her shorts and panties in front of everyone before picking up a Sprite bottle and continuing the photoshoot bottomless. As the spectators feverishly snapped away, Jennie further stunned the crowd by casually stripping off her top and bra, ending up completely naked in public.​

In response to queries, Sprite verified that the stunt was planned, but refused to comment on the endorsement fee paid to Jennie. An insider revealed to CNN that the idea for the public show came from Jennie, who also conceived of the slogan. The head of advertising at Sprite was apparently unwilling initially, fearing backlash from mothers, but was persuaded by Jennie in the end. After further probing, the insider divulged that the man, who is married, succumbed to Jennie’s irresistible advances and had sex with her, giving her extortion material. “She is dying for publicity,” the insider opined. “Her career is going nowhere and she will do anything to get back into the limelight.” While it remains to be seen whether this will become a PR disaster for the company, Jennie has certainly gotten the attention she wanted.​
