A bit of a complication

Weiss moved down the street and toward the store. She set a light jogging pace. Faster than walking but not quite a run. She didn't want to go by super slow, as if she didn't have a care in the world. But she also didn't want to blur past in a streak of white. That would just be no fun at all.

With each step Weiss's excitement grew. She couldn't help but start to smile when she was only a short distance away.

Finally she took the final step and she looked into the store's window. It looked like an average convenience store, not that she was really experienced with that sort of thing. But she also spied something that made her heart leap in her chest.

Inside she saw three people. By the counter was the uniformed clerk, a man in his late 20s, working the cash register and not paying attention to the store window at all. But what was more important was the other two people, an adult man and a slightly younger woman in deep conversation, were almost right at the door of the store!

They were going to leave and bump right into her!

Weiss panicked and did the first thing that came to mind. Rather than retreat, she sped up. The bare heiress increased her pace and moved faster. It was enough that just as she reached the main door, it started to open. Weiss looked to her side and for a brief moment, she made eye contact with a surprised woman that looked a few years older than her. The man wasn't even looking at her, instead reading something on his scroll.

She only had time to hear the woman gasp in surprise before she was past her and running down the sidewalk, her heart pounding wildly.

Before she rounded the corner, Weiss looked back and saw the woman looking in her direction. Quickly she ducked around the corner and out of sight.

Panicked, she moved down the street and circled back toward the park. Adrenaline pounding, Weiss carefully stopped at every street corner to look for cars or other people before bolting down the sidewalk, cursing herself over and over again in her mind as she ran.

At last she reached the park, went right to the bench, and pulled out her coat and boots. She put them on and sat down on the bench, catching her breath and trying to calm down.

She'd been seen!

Granted the person who saw her was a woman. A woman that didn't even get a good look at her and even then really only from behind. But nevertheless, a stranger had seen her naked body.

Weiss logically thought about what the woman would have seen. Well really she had only seen Weiss's long white hair and bare behind. And really only for a few seconds before she was gone. Granted white hair wasn't a common hair color.

But still, Weiss felt a nice warmth inside her at the fact that someone had actually seen her. This was...dangerous. She really should return to Beacon and come to decisions when she wasn't high on endorphins.

And so Weiss Schnee, now more calmed down, left the park and return to Beacon. The paths before her were simple. She could continue the nice safe path or move to escalate.
