Why not the Barber Shop?

You decide to check out the barber shop. After all, you didn't know her from eve, and if the woman was in town, alone, and you came wandering up, you might even scare her.

You wander over to the open barber shop door and peer in, seeing nothing inside of interest. Just a small counter, with a basin sitting on top and a brush for the shaving cream sitting in a bowl nearby. You step closer, pushing the door lightly and waiting for something to happen as it rolls slowly open. Within seconds, you can see into the barber shop, which contains three chairs lining one wall and one more before the counter, a small towel rack, three towels hanging from it.

You wander in, eyeing the place, looking for a back exit or anything that might key you in to when the place was last visited. You're hoping not long ago, but hope dissipates as you near the counter and see the thick dust settling in the basin.

Thick dust settling on the brush and bowl as well. Settling on the chairs, but not everywhere, you see. No, there's one place where the counter looks fresh, as though an item had sat there while the dust settled and was recently removed. An item that appeared to be a straight razor.
