Find cover fast. The wind got worse!

Marie shrieked as a violent gust of wind swept past. She pressed down harder with her hand to keep her skirt flush against her underwear, but it still did little good to hide her legs from view...not to mention whatever someone saw from behind. She tossed her notebook into her purse, and put both hands to work on holding her skirt down as she ran past the benches to get under the awning. Once there, in a comparable haven from the violent wind, she sighed in relief, brushing her hands off on her plaid fabric. That had been close.

She'd just wait out the storm there. Weird that the wind had picked up so suddenly, though... maybe it was a countryside thing. Marie had waited beneath the awning for several minutes, both hands set down against her skirt just in case.

This was getting ridiculous. Maybe she was better off just running for the inside? She couldn't stand there all day! Except the weather seemed to be worsening, and if Marie wasn't mistaken, rain was coming next.
