Rise didn't know what Kanji was about to say, nor did she have time to find out. She could always call him back. She waited by the exit to the alcove, listening carefully for any sign of passerbys. All seemed quiet. She gave a relieved sigh, passively ran her hands down her sides and legs to keep herself steady, before she looked out from the hiding place, taking note of nearby landmarks and station signs.
It didn't take long. "Inaba Station, fifth stop..." That, a vending machine, and a nearby billboard were more than enough. Kanji would easily find her then! Renewed with a sudden rush of reassurance, Rise quickly brought her phone out to dial Kanji, then realized something that made her blood run cold. Within seconds, it was made clear that-
