What are you going to do now?
You eat the food, but that counts as Go to brunch.
This is so frustrating for you. Calling Gerald over was supposed to make this all easier for you, but so far it had bitten you in the butt, which was now bigger. Great.
“Food?” Gerald asks you, hope in his voice, and as exasperated as you are you just nod. Besides, you are hungry yourself. The diner food is a little cold, but nothing a quick heating up in the microwave doesn’t fix. The lighter breakfast you picked out for yourself is perfect, even if the egg whites are a little too runny, especially the crepe. You’ve always found them kind of bland, but this one is amazing.
Meanwhile, across your small table, Gerald is devouring the waffles. You don’t look at him doing it, the sight is truly monstrous. Instead, you soon finish your smaller portion, but after you do, you feel something is wrong. You can’t quite figure out what it is at first, it’s like a weird nagging sensation that you don’t know what to do about. Deciding it’s annoying and you want it to start, you unconsciously pull out your phone and bring up the app again, then go to Tasks.
Then you blink. Why did you do that? But now that it’s up, you have the strong urge to select Go to brunch. It’s like the words are actively drawing in your attention, like a black hole, and it’s hard to think of anything else. “Something wrong?” Gerald asks, having just finished his food, looking across the table at you.
You’re trying not to select that Task, and manage to tell him, “I...I feel like I have to select that I finished the Task Go to brunch. But I don’t know why!” You realize one of your fingers is moving towards the button without you realizing it, and you move it back to just holding the phone, as you start to breathe more deeply, and the urge only continues to grow.
“...” A quick glance at Gerald’s face shows he’s thinking hard about something, and then he finally says. “Crap. I guess it is kind of between the time for breakfast and lunch, and we ate breakfast food. That’s basically brunch.” Once he says it like that, you have to admit he’s got a point. “And apparently if you do a Task, even if you’re not trying to, there’s some compulsion to make you select it on the app anyway. You might as well do it and get it over with.” With seemingly no other option, you take a sharp inhalation of breath and touch the Task, revealing the new changes.

By now you know what’s coming. In fact, you don’t even look down to watch as you feel your breasts grow a bit larger, and your body becomes even more feminine. Instead, you glare at your friend before looking down at the app to see what the new Task available to you is. “Go to the movies?” you say out loud. It seems like a neutral Task, but you’re sure there’s some trick to it, there always seems to be with this app. Still, what is there to do, really?
