Chapter 14 by transplanter

What's next?

Her blouse

(chapter originally by Phantom Pen on writing.com)

Toriumi had been so focused on the progress her hands were making that she failed to realize the problem with leaning in with anticipation. However, when she felt her stomach press against the seat of the chair, she quickly realized her error.

"Oh... shit." Toriumi whispered, both to avoid drawing attention to herself and to avoid her students hearing her curse. This wasn't good.

_Just... just stay calm, Isako. _Toriumi told herself. Panic is your enemy here. Stay calm and you can think of a solution to this.

The good news was that her hands had managed to pull free, though her palms were red and tender. Of course, standing up with the seat of the chair glued to her blouse wouldn't exactly be inconspicuous... Even worse, her lower half wouldn't be entirely obscured if she somehow did managed to stand up in her current state. At least her current position hid her body from the view of her students.

They were still focused on their quiz. If there was ever a time to step out into the hall and try to find a more private place to fix her predicament, it was now.

"Keep your eyes on your papers, everyone. I'm stepping out for a moment, but I'll be back shortly. I -will- know if any of you cheat." Toriumi said, her voice somewhat muffled from her awkward location behind the chair.

Thankfully, the students didn't seem to pay this much mind, their eyes staying firmly fixed on their work. Grateful that her students at least seemed to care about their grades, Toriumi awkwardly made her way to the classroom door. At least her hands being free meant she could operate doors without major issue. Slipping out of the room, the frazzled teacher took a moment to sigh in relief, glad to be in the empty hallway.
