BR Day 3 - Find Beth

You go back to the shower to look for clues. You spot a gummy bear on the ground... Beth loves those bears. Did she drop it on purpose? Did something happen to her?

You go to pick it up and see another one. And there's another one a short distance away in the trees!

You run back to the tents, steal Zarya's flashlight, and head into the woods as the sun is going down.

The trail of gummy bears is difficult to follow, even with the light... but you do your best. After a few minutes you are all sweaty again and knocking vines out of your way as you hike uphill. The campsite is not even at the top of the mountain...

You are very worried. There is no way Beth would have hiked even more today willingly. No way.

There are no more gummy bears... but there is a sign with a creepy skull on it, and a dark path. That must be the way. You turn on the flashlight and go, dripping over loose rocks and trying not to freak out when you hear snakes hiss in the dark.

You reach some water... the path is on the other side. You have to go through... but you spot some scary shapes. Are those alligators?

You put the flashlight in your pocket and grab the tree branches, using them like monkey bars to cross. An alligator snaps at you and you barely dodge! This is the worst! You reach the other side and run, but the ground drops out from under you! You jump and grab a tree root before you can fall.

When you look down you see spikes below! Wow! Very deadly!

You climb up with your heart pounding and go deeper along the path, entering a cave that is even creepier than the forest...

You are ready to... fistfight some wolves or something, but there are no wolves. The passage leads to a cavern with a lantern in it and... Beth!

She sits in a bubbling pool in the bikini from the store, looking very happy.

Lara stands by the pool wearing khaki shorts and a teal bikini top.

"Took you long enough," she says.

"Beth, did she kidnap you?" You ask, confused.

"Kidnap? We were just doing the hot spring," Beth tells you. "I thought you were right behind us."

"I could have died!" you rage at Lara, who laughs.

"Died?" Beth asks.

"I had Riley come up the hard way," Lara admits.

"There's a hard way?" Beth asks.

"There's an easy way?" you ask back, and Beth points at an opening twenty feet away. There's another path! One without spikes and alligators!

"I'll kill you," you say to Lara.

"Calm down. You're dating my best friend. I had to make sure you were good enough for her," Lara says defensively.

"Ooooh," Beth says, looking happy.

"I can't date anyone if I fall on spikes!" you shout.

"What spikes?" Now Lara looks confused.

"Big spikes!" You show them with your hands. "Like this long."

"Those weren't on the map," Lara says. "I promise. Look! I set you up! It's romantic." She points at the hot spring.

"It's hot! Who wants a hot spring?" you ask. Lara is insane.

"You have to get in the cold pool first," Beth says, pointing to another pool. "Then it feels good."

"I'm not over the spikes yet," you say.

"Don't be a baby," Lara tells you. "You are dating my very cute best friend that I have always liked, and I am helping you instead of messing it up. No complaining."

Beth turns bright red.

"I didn't know you were like that," she says.

"What? Gay?" Lara asks. "Of course I'm gay. You should have seen what I did to rescue my other best friend."

"You have another best friend?" Beth asks.

"Never mind that. Still want to kill me, Riley?" Lara asks smugly.

"Yes," you say.

"Well, enjoy the secret, romantic cave that I discovered," Lara says. "I'll just be going. That is, unless you want me to stay?"

Beth turns even redder. Today got strange...

And Lara? You aren't sure... you have serious feelings for Beth. Lara staying would be exciting, but you don't know if that is what you want for this relationship.

Kick Lara out? Or let her stay?
