Chapter 3

How do you approach the young lady?
An introduction will do just fine, thank you very much.
Better to just introduce yourself, it's how you meet people, right? You walk up to her settle in the empty seat besides her. "Hi there! My name is Remi, how are you doing on this fine night?" As soon as you say the words, you realize what a mistake it is. You sound so creepy! Like a r/niceguys post incarnate. You cringe a little as you wait for her response, but to your surprise, she chuckles at your awkwardness.
"Well, it's certainly nice to meet you, Remi. My name is Janice, and on this _fine _night, I am doing superb!" She says the last part with a fake fancy accent, and you let out a nervous chuckle. Well, you weren't dead in the water yet, best to press on.
"Sorry about that introduction, I suppose I channeled my inner 80 year old," you say with a chuckle--one that she returns. "Janice, you said? Thats a beautiful name! Might I ask, what do you do for a living?" Was that weird? Did you move on too fast? What are the rules for talking to pretty girls anyway?
"Thank you! I think my name is a bit boring, so I try to make sure I'm not. I happen to be an accountant by trade, why, did you need your taxes filed?" She seemed to be at the very least enjoying your ineptitude, so you press on, asking questions about her work. She flows right into a story about some client she was working with, apparently she's quite talkative.
You try to pay attention, but your mind starts to wander. What were you going to do for dinner? And how later are you going to stay out anyway? Thinking about the time makes you realize how sleepy you are. You feel a great yawn coming on. Oh no. Can you stifle it?
Do you try and stifle your yawn?
