Tifa proposes another option

"I suggest that we prove the strength of our leagues rather than ourselves," the Yakuza said calmly.

"What, the blunder twins out there wasn't enough?" Tanya chuckled. She heard Timmy's scream ring in her ear. It was very distinct, and you heard it a lot.

"I suggest a more involved bout. Not our league's children battering eachother in circles."

Tanya hid her smile behind her mouth. "Good. She's proud, if not confident..."

"Go on."

"Our 5 best in the ring in 1-on-1 battles. Most wins earns command of our negotiations."

"I'll one-up you," Tanya added. "For every win one league gets, that's ten-thousand dollars the owner gives to the other." Tifa looked dubious for a moment, and Tanya grinned. "Just making the win more beneficial... or maybe I'm trying to cut my losses if I do, earn a last minute win or two, and maintain some dignity."

Tifa was still cautious, but it didn't sound like an especially huge addition. It was a lot of money, yes, but only if one side made a clean sweep.

"Fair enough. I shall see you..."

"3 hours," Tanya intercepted. Tifa looked surprised.

"I'm sorry. I was assuming you kept your wrestlers under as tight control as I did. Call it 4?"

"4 will be... adequate..." Tifa said slowly, walking off with a bit more speed than necessary.

Tanya bit her tongue to keep from grinning. Maybe even laughing. She had twisted a button on her cuff about the time the bet came up. With Tifa well out of sight, her personal bodyguards all emerged from corners, shadows, or wherever they had hidden out of sight. Alice dropped from the ceiling and landed her bare feet gracefully.

"You guys get all that?"

"Understood," Ninjette said curtly.

"Loud and clear, boss," grunted Harvey.

"It's been a while since I got to work on new test dummies," Theresa said, allowing herself a grin.

Juan gave a small frown of disapointment. "I simply hope there are no disgusting men for me to fight," he practically shuddered.

Alice's tremendously long hair waggled about as she gave a loping nod.

"Interesting' will no doubt linger in descriptions of tonight's events," Elizabeth said wistfully.

"Slaughter' is usually more appropriate when a McVan's around," Tanya laughed.
