You shake his arm and he flinches "Woah, that looks bad" you say through gritted teeth.

Leo just looks at you and shakes his head. A red misshapen scar is driven across the left side of his lips "I blame the boot more than I blame you, don't worry."

"I'm really sorry Leo, I was drinking too much and I just-" He cuts you off by throwing a cushion at you.

"Oh shut up, I've heard you apologise too much already" You shake your head and sit next to him, he just smiles and wraps an arm around you, just as someone walks in the room.
