Rest of the school day

Between classes, you go to the loo. Unlike in human schools, the toilets were not separated into male and female but carnivore and herbivore. This was because different diets required different plumbing. As an omnivore, you could use either but were advised to use the carnivore ones if you had a lot of meat in your diet. You had a lot of meat so you used the carnivore toilets.

After that you called your mother to tell her you would be going home with Mrs Hedley today and would need a change of clothes dropped off and that you would be having a sleepover with some dog-girls tomorrow. She was happy that you had made friends and was fitting in at Anthro school.

Your other lessons were uneventful and you went over to Mrs Hedley's office when the final bell rang. You noticed Alice walking out of the Nurse's office having reformed wrapped in a blanket and heading towards the changing room to collect her clothes. She tried to avoid you as she went, you let her go, she had suffered her punishment for now. Julie, on the other hand, was still in debt.

You knock on Mrs Hedley's door and she lets you in.

"Ah, John I have been looking forward to seeing you again. I touched myself all 4th period hoping that you would pay me a visit and catch me in the act, but alas. Anyway, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that your mum dropped off some spare clothes and your toothbrush for tonight. The Bad news, if you want to think about it that way is that: it was not a mistake that you ended up here. I checked out the paperwork twice. It is part of some government initiative to try and integrate humans into society more. Apparently your dad signed you up for it." She explained.

Your dad was divorced from your mother but still had joint custody of you that should have ended now that you were 18. Checking the paperwork that Hedley showed you everything checked out. It apparently was set up years ago as part of your scholarship. You were a smart kid. Your dad was not a bad person he just didn't love your mum any more. It was odd for him not to mention it but perhaps he left that to your mum. That was his mistake. At the time, your mum had been depressed, she drank too much. In all likelihood, she signed off on it then went on one of her binges as to do so would have meant meeting up with your dad. She was better now and your parents had reconciled but both moved on. However, in that gap, the fact you were signed up for Anthro school was lost in the cracks of their relationship.

Having processed this you turned to Mrs Hedley "Well know it all makes sense, thanks for sorting that Mrs Hedley." You thanked her.

"Please, call me Claudette ." Claudette Hedley replied. She then gave you the bag your mum had dropped off and led you to the car park.

On your way out you saw the posse of dogs and shouted "Don't forget to bring spare clothes and sleeping stuff tomorrow for the sleepover."

Claudette led you to a bright red sports car with an open-top "Hop in" she remarked. Once you had your seatbelt on she drove off as fast as the speed limit would allow.
