Not a guy. To the supermarket!

As you speed towards him, you steer the car to the outer side of the road. The figure shuffles along the smooth empty road and into the centre as they drag themselves toward your high speed automobile. "Hina you might want to hold onto something." You inform her through her quiet crying.

As you approach you make out a few details. The person is man, or at least was a man, walks stiffly. His joints only snap to rigid angles rather than smoothly flow as a body should and his mouth oozes a darkened blood which-

You swerve the car around him as he cuts into your lane. With a loud screech of tires you manage to skim past him without bouncing him from the bonnet. Hina barely looks up as you straighten the car back up for the second time in half an hour. "What was that?" She asks as her tears seem to end.

"I'm pretty sure it was an infected guy... Maybe." Satisfied with your bad driving she releases and lowers her legs. "Can I ask... What was... Did something-"

"The car crash?" She interrupts coldly. There's no emotion in her words like she isolated them from herself. You nod your head stiffly. "My dad. My sister. They both died in an accident."

"Sorry I didn't mean to pry."

"It was a long time ago. It is also the reason I do not live with my mother anymore." Deciding it's best not to upset your new friend while in one of the largest - and probably zombie infested - cities in the world you refrain from asking more.

Driving into the city limits you slow the car as the carnage only seems to get worse. Broken windows hang on most of the buildings, blood splatters the streets and walls yet there are no bodies, and cars are left abandoned in the middle of the roads. Mounting the curb you manage to maneuver around most of the destruction. Thankfully you also can't see anybody, alive or dead.

Winding through the streets after a painstakingly long time the tower stands tall at the end of the road. It's windows all unbroken, no blood anywhere near it, it looks completely out off place. "You know which way to go now?" You ask through a whisper as if your voice would suddenly summon a horde of infected straight to you.

"Yes." She whispers back. The directions take you through another winding trip around broken everything's until arriving upon a tall multi storey car park. "In there." She points to the entrance ramp. "It might be safer to park in there rather than risk the front of the building."

"Good idea." You agree and slowly swing onto the ramp. Once inside the natural light dims and the overhead lights flicker in its place. You stop and press the button on the barrier machine to get your ticket. "Just so you know. You're paying for this when we leave." Her face contorts as a smile forms right before she lets out a delighted giggle.

You pull around the first corner and drive to the doors by the exit then pull to a stop, not bothering to park up. "Hopefully everything we need will be in there and no infected are there." You grab the gun and the baton before sliding slowly out of the car. You stand with the door in your hand as your ears strain to pick up any sounds.

Hina closes her door quickly which echos around the car park. You wince at the sudden noise. Upon noticing your reaction she blushes and lowers her head sheepishly. "Sorry." She whispers.
