"So, the site won't pay out until the end of the month, and my... biological clock is ticking close, if you get what I mean," Penny shrugs, pursing her lips at you. "So my thinking is that, it might be best if we wait until after I announce that I've made the donation, that we start making plans for our 'first' official meeting."

Propping your chin on your thumb, you think for a bit. "I understand the after donation announcement bit, but why do we have to have another meeting?"

"Basically, I don't want to make it look like it was easy," she replies, leaning back. "It's already too much of a coincidence that we live relatively close to each other, and if it happens too soon, I'm afraid that people will think it was a set-up, you know? I mean, some guy drops ten grand and the next day I've already dropped trou? Seems kinda sketchy, right? Plus, I've already got a few other photo shoots on my schedule."

"Fair, fair. Hm..." you nod, thinking again. "I guess I can wait a bit. But uh... I got to ask, did you put any thought into going on that holiday with me that I pitched to you?"

Blowing air out of her cheeks, she looks to her patio door. "We've... fought over it. I was thinking it could be a like, amatuer holiday sex tape kind of thing, and that would go over great, but Chad..."

"Would rather it be with him instead of me?" you finish for her, raising an eyebrow.

Deflating in her chair, she rolls her eyes and nods. "I don't think he likes you very much," she whispers. "He doesn't like people in general, but you really rub him the wrong way."

"Well, to be fair, I am trying to rub his girlfriend," you smile, trying to break the tension.

Penny snorts, unable to contain herself. "Yeah..." she sighs before giving you a soft look. "Tell you what. I'll keep trying to get him onboard with that, and on the day I make the donation, why don't we go out for dinner or something? Just the two of us?"

"You mean, like a date or something?" you say, raising the other eyebrow.

Penny moves her head sheepishly from side to side. "Kinda, sorta."
