Loading up...

You descend to the garage in silence. Every step echo's on the hard steps creating a tense atmosphere around you. You hope it's just nerves from Hina catching you rather than fear of going back to town. Not that I should be nervous... She seems pretty keen to go again. You suppress a grin from forming as you enter the garage.

The room is wide open, bright white panels reflect light from every surface and a small selection of cars are parked around. The closest to the garage exit is Bella's SUV that has a few modifications added to it. The car has a wire mesh covering the windows, metal plates that cover the upper half of the wheels, and thick metal bars cover the front bumper and grill.

"Good morning. You both look excited and raring to go." Dad says with obvious sarcasm. He carries a large duffel bag over from his workbench at the edge of the room. "Got the rest of the stuff for you here."

"Thanks dad." You take the bag off his hands, it has a bit of weight behind it but you hardly notice, keeping a firm stance.

"There's some weapons in their. Hopefully you won't need to use them but it's always better to have and not need than to need and not have." You walk with him to the car as he continues talking. "We covered the glass to stop those things reaching in. We can't do much otherwise you wouldn't be able to see, what we did do is added protection to the front so you can ram them out off the way without damaging the engine. Luckily Bella liked her car for usage rather than looks so the wheels are suitable to take off-road should you need to, just be warned however that the cover on them might hinder some of the larger bumps."

"It looks great. Thanks again." You set the duffel bag down in the boot when your dad opens it. The bag opens with a small assortment of different weaponry.

"Yes, yes. Me and that sweet girl definitely worked our asses off for you. I'd suggest choosing what weapons to use here where it's safe, although I'm sure you already have everything figured out." He gives you a strong hug. "And if you see any wine out there be sure to pick some up, I'd hate to run out."

"Really?" He bellows in laughter.

"Only if you want, don't waste time looking." He pats your shoulders with a wide grin. "I'll see you when you get back." He makes for the door which opens as he gets there. "Ah, hello again sweet cheeks."

"Yes, hello Mr. Knight." Heather murmurs and spots you further passed dad. "Good, I thought I might have woken up too late." Dad leaves as Heather comes to you. She's only wearing a long t-shirt that barely covers her heart-shaped ass. Even as she walks closer it's hard to tell if she's wearing underwear.

"Heather." You say breathlessly whilst eyeing up her smooth legs. You **** yourself to stop. "How are you today?" She eyes Hina nervously as you ask.

"I'm... Good. I just came to see you off. B-Both of you I mean. And to wish you good luck." She says getting flustered.

"Thank you but you didn't need to **** yourself, you did have a late night after all." She blushes and shy's away from your gaze.

"That's partly why I'm here..." She whispers so quietly it's like she didn't speak. "What I mean is... Good luck, Michael, Hina. We're all looking forward to seeing you home soon." She says with her usual confidence.

"T-thank you Heather." Hina forces the words out. Your eyes widen and you half turn your head. That's the first time she's spoke to someone else... Maybe kissing her is building her confidence. You smile at her causing a blush to appear.

"Then while you are here perhaps you could help us a little?" You ask facing Heather fully.

"Yes. Anything." She replies firmly. I'll definitely take her up on that, hehe...

"We've yet to decide where to go. After missing most of yesterday I didn't put much thought into it but you've lived here for a while so I figure you must know the best shops or shops that have the most stuff available."

"Yes I can think of a few." You get your phone out and she goes through the map and highlights three different shops. "This one is closest to us right now and it's good but doesn't have everything being by the edge of the city. This is deeper in the centre but it's always... Or should I say it was always busy which means there could be a lot of... You know. The last one is further away but it has a great mix of everything and is most certainly quieter than the city centre."

"Michael." Hina whispers. "May we go to that shop please? My house is close by and I would like to grab some things, i-if you do not mind." She points to the city centre.

"Well..." Getting her some clothes would be nice. Yeah but nice isn't safe and won't keep you safe. Maybe but you already said that the infected would be draw to the evac ships so they should all be gone. And if they're not?

"Michael?" She whispers again.

"Sorry. Yes, we'll go there. Besides, I said we need to get you some clothes." You say getting yourself pumped up.

"It is not just clothes I am after but thank you."

"I'll leave the rest to you two then." Heather takes a step away but comes back immediately and wraps her arms around you. "Stay safe." She whispers into your ear and plants a kiss on your cheek.

"We will."

You and Hina open the duffel bag fully. There's a variety of weapons to choose from. Hina takes a machete with a holster and clips it to her waist on a belt. "You sure you can use that?" She gives you a sinister smile.

"I can. Just wait until you see mine." Her tone is serious and almost entirely unlike herself.

"Uh... Okay then." You smile back nervously. As she gets into the car you grab an expandable baton from the bag and slide it into your pocket. Just as you're about to close it you spy a handgun in the bottom and grab it. Might as well have it, just in case. You empty the weapons on your dad's workbench and grab your grey hoodie you had left there previously, it's what you used to wear whenever you'd help your dad so it smells a little like oil and rusted metal and is covered in a few marks and singes around the sleeves.

You throw the empty duffel bag into the back of the car and take the drivers seat. The car roars to life with a steady rumbling of the engine. "Lets go." Hina says.
