*Half an hour earlier*

"So, are we doing this?" I asked, sitting down on the seat for the Brain Wave Nano Signal Enhancer, a machine that basically looked like a saloon hair steamer except mainly metal. I made myself comfortable while Yung made final checks to the Enhancer. With the nanomachines inside my body broadcasting through the Enhancer, the signal will be received by the nanomachines inside the target.

Yung turned on the cameras to the testing room on the wall across from me and nodded absentmindedly. "Yup. We're almost ready. The subject is being prepped right now with some basic questioning. You remember what you need to do?"

I rolled my eyes and glanced at the sheet of paper beside me. "Just follow the instructions and try to make the subject do the things listed. We've been through this so many times that I could do it in my sleep."

Yung grunted slightly. "Sure, but we still haven't had a successful test on animals. The only reason we're allowed to do human testing is because we've proven that it's harmless in animals."

I could feel myself frown at that reminder. The previous tests on animals all failed in one way or another, mostly only being able to attract the animal towards something specific but unable to control the animal. The best we could figure is that the human brain is just different enough from other animals that the nanobots can't translate what we think correctly into the animals, or that there could be a language barrier to overcome. This test is to check if it's the former, and there's a plan to test the latter after this experiment.

"Anyways, get ready. The temps are getting your subject into the testing room." Yung said as he took a clipboard and headed out of the room. I glanced at the camera and noted that a woman had walked into the testing room and had taken a seat on the chair inside the room. I can see her glance around at the room where we had setup the whiteboard for the test from the cameras (much more than obvious), probably curious at the experiment. Speaking of which, I glanced to the other side of my chair to see the list of things I'm supposed to be doing, familiarizing myself again to what was written.

The first stage of the experiment was pretty simple, and are things that the test subject could do herself. Depending on how successful these tests are, the test would go into phase 2 or even phase 3... though that would require the first experiment to go amazingly for that to happen.

I glance back to the camera and noticed that Yung was giving her a small briefing and to let the subject know the test was about to start. I took a deep breath and laid back down on the seat with my eyes closed and waited my partner to returned and the test to start.
