Midnight confession

You're gently shook awake by a pair of soft hands on your bare chest. You had stripped off down to your boxers before sleeping. The room is dark, the TV is off and there's only the quiet sound of breathing to be heard. "Michael. Wake up." Sam whispers. You tilt your head back to only just make out her frame in the darkness. "Come with me. Please."

Groggily you slowly and carefully get out of the sofa bed while avoiding your sleeping companions, who where thankfully not clinging to you anymore. You follow Sam, with your blanket wrapped around you still, to door and through. The floor outside the room was freezing cold, the shock almost making you jump. You close the door behind you. "What's up?"

She stands wrapped in her own blanket a few feet from you. The small bit of moonlight making it's way through the gaps in the blocked windows does little to illuminate Sam. "I- I need to... I..." She pauses. You can't see her face or the expression that goes with it. "The other morning... You see..." The kiss?

You take a step closer. "You mean you want to tell me what is up with you and why you're acting so strange?" You lean a bit closer and her face seems to light up in the dark.

"Yes." She whispers. "B-but I have something I need to ask first."

"Shoot, I'm all ears."

"Do you know your sister is obsessed with you?" You tense up.

"My who? What? What do you mean obsessed?" You ask her back.

"Lucy. After I left your room yesterday I went to hers to talk to her again. She wasn't there but I had a little look around and found... Some stuff."

You take a step back. "What stuff Sam?"

"She has a diary and some of your clothes stashed in her draw." Your heart speeds up and you start breathing heavily.

"No, no, no. No! Lucy wouldn't do that. She's not like that." You protest.

"I can show you." Sam takes your hand and leads you, mostly dragging you, to your sister's room. She's playing a prank. She probably knows someone else with the same name. Lucy isn't obsessed with me...

Inside her room Sam takes you to her side draw and stands you in front of it. "In there." Your heart hammers in your chest as you reach out to the handle. It slides open with little sound. Inside is a pink covered book resting at the top.

You reach in and grab it. You flip it open to the first page...
