"Good heavens!" cried Mina as she watched the wolf ran toward her and Lucy. "The vicious animal is going to tear my dress off."
"Don't be silly, Mina," said Lucy as she continued to hold Mina in a bear-hug that prevented Mina from moving her arms to cover her bare naked breasts. "I already tore the top of your dress off. The wolf is just going to finish the job."
"Not helping," said Mina. "Now let me go, Lucy, or I swear --"
"Oh, don't be like that, Mina," said Lucy. "You know it's impolite to swear. Besides, I had to do something. One can't always depend on the kindness of strangers, you know."
Just then the wolf ran up and tore the remains of Mina's dress off her body. Then it started gnawing at her corset. Every time it did so, Lucy would hit it on the nose and shout, "Bad dog!" but the wolf paid no attention to her.
Then Lucy had an idea. She let go of Lucy and instead grabbed hold of her pantaloons. Mina heard a sudden ripping noise and then felt cold air strike her now uncovered legs.
However, before Mina could protest, Lucy was waving Mina's pantaloons under the wolf's nose and saying, "Here, boy! Fetch the unmentionables!"
And with that, Lucy ran to the end of the corridor and threw Mina's pantaloons out of a door at the end of the sleeper car. The wolf followed and tried its damned to fetch Mina's pantaloons but alas, said pantaloons were already falling off the train and all the wolf accomplished was seeing to it that it too would fall off the train. And as if that were not bad enough, it did so just as the train passed over a long, long bridge suspended over a dark river. A river that quickly swallowed all signs of the wolf -- and Mina's pantaloons.
