And more than what's expected

James and Terri spent the car ride mostly in silence. Other than the occasional comment about how dangerous that had been, Terri didn't have much to ask. It was private, and she knew that. She was also too busy wondering new questions about Lee.

James, on the other hand, was busy trying to be okay with things. Trying to let it be enough that they now knew he and Aurora shared these feelings. It had to be enough.

When he and Terri arrived back at his house, they hadn't expected food to be littering the counter. Nor to hear his shower running. Terri knocked on the bathroom door and made her way in slowly, softly calling out.

"Sally, honey? Are you in hoooooH MY GOD!" James ran over to help, but Terri stopped him shaking her head. "Mmmo no you do not want in there. Naked...and not alone"

"What?" James wanted to look...but he wanted to not see his sister naked even more, so he went back to the living room. In the guest room on his way, he noticed his new guest sleeping in the tank. His skin had turned a healthier blue color inside, his spots flickered with colors from his dreams, and his eyes were wide open. Finally it made sense that Aurora had thought he'd died when he slept.

He sat down on the couch, feeling restless. Then, he saw something he never would have thought to expect. Sally came out, hurrying to put on her clothing, and Archie followed close behind, just managing to finish putting his hydration suit back on. Their sheepish smiles brought the only word in his mind mumbling out from his mouth.
