Maybe, Matt thought, if you'd grown up as the golden boy, getting sex any time you wanted it just by saying 'yes' to one of the many girls who threw themselves at you, sex could become boring.

"Okay," he said, "Tanya, you're taking tomorrow off. I'll meet up with Jordan and find out what's going on with him. Our business and friendship is too important for us to get killed just when it's getting started."

"Not to mention," Karen added, "that getting killed could spoil your whole day."

"Yeah, that." Tanya gave Karen a smile. "Okay, since I have no ideas at all, I'll do what you say, Matt. But I have no idea how you're doing to deal with him. He's perfectly capable of being nice and agreeable to your face and then coming up behind you and smacking you with a baseball bat."

"Let's get our homework done," Karen said. "Unless Jordan is going to kill us between tonight and tomorrow morning, we still have school tomorrow."
