Matt Brown

It was an ordinary sunday, with a nice sunny weather. It was a great day for Matt to go out and try to search a new notebook to write on. While he was walking towards their local school supplier, he saw one of his neighbors was moving and opened a garage sale for their old stuff. Matt was intrigued and wanted to take a look.

He saw an old gramophone, a gameboy, some old pc parts, a random remote control, a weird helmet, and a card deck then he though “Im pretty sure all of these are broken or just too weird to buy.”

Then his neighbor saw him and said “Can I help you Matt?, are you looking for something particular?”. Matt answered “Yes Mr. Smith, I’m looking for a good notebook to take notes on.” Mr. Smith thought a couple of seconds and told Matt to wait a second. He walked inside his home and came back with an old looking, hard covered book looking notebook. Matt really liked how it looked, his stories would look just like a real book inside this notebook.

Mr. Smith gave Matt the book and asked “Would this do?”. Matt nodded happily and said “Yes, it looks really good, what do I owe you for this?.” When Mr. Smith said Matt could take it for free, he was shocked. Then Mr. Smith smirked and said “I used that book for years, now its time for somebody else to use it. And I believe you are the right person for it. Thank you for being a really good neighbor for all these years.”

Matt smiled and thanked him again, he thought should he ask why he was leaving this neighborhood but thought it would be rude to ask what if he had financial problems and he was about to move a smaller place, he is also selling his stuff. Finally Matt decided the best action would be say his goodbye to Mr. Smith then leave
