Then, with help of the cards on the table, we try to score a winning combination. The person with the highest ranked combination wins.

Alright, that doesn’t seem too complex. Let’s give it a shot.

So, with my first hand I start with a pair of fours. But one of those is a clover and I have 2 other clovers, with a 4th clover on the table. I can either stick with the pair, which is a low scoring combination, or try for another clover for way more points. Well, I’m not betting anything, so I might as well take the risk. I get rid of all cards that aren’t clovers. When Athena deals me new cards, one of them is the clover I need.
