He headed to the car, getting behind the wheel and starting the engine. He was fuming. His girlfriend? A slut?

He reached the house in a few minutes. Turns out he was three blocks down, on Third Street instead of Third Avenue. When he got out of the car, he could hear music playing, and distantly, people talking in the backyard. Much more of a party atmosphere than Tia's house had had.

He marched up to the front door, angry, intending to give whoever answered the door a piece of his mind. He pounded three times on the wood surface, sending loud thuds into the hall behind the door.
