Climb the mineshaft. (Stealth)

Crouching down in a manner similar to a spring being coiled, you jump vertically and grab hold of one of the wooden timbers holding up the mineshaft. With practised agility, you clamber up and press your body against the stone-hewn wall. Whatever is looking for you would have a hard time of it, now that you’re perched in the shadows above their head.

Rapid footsteps burst into the space below you.

“Where is it?” Says a deep, scratchy voice. “You said you smelled an intruder.”

The scraping of metal echoes throughout the cavern: sounds of weapons being sheathed.

A second, higher voice replies. “I did. He was right ‘ere. I swear.”

Inhaling and exhaling through your nose to quiet your breathing, you tilt your head downwards in order to spot the two people below: pale green skin, heads with black hair, leather armour.

Orcs.

They both stand tall, with hastily put-together leather armour straps that don’t do much to hide their muscled bodies. One of the orcs has a dark shadow of stubble across his jaw and upper lip, and wears a pair of cotton trousers that look too small, the fabric tight around his large bubble butt. The other is taller and more muscular, and wears a simple loincloth, showing off his thick thighs. You suppose that they’re part of a bandit group.

“Shit...” The bearded one mutters. “I was really horny as well.”

The other laughs. His deep barks echoing throughout the room. “Of course you are. The only time you get off is when the boss sends us to deal with intruders.”

“Shut it, Kez.”

“No you shut it, Reyek.”

The two go on, arguing in the cavern below for some time. From watching and listening to their interactions, you put together that these two probably have a lot of.... unreleased tension.

The logical thing to do would be to wait until Kez and Reyek got bored and left. But the comedy of the situation doesn’t have you feeling the most logical.

Perhaps getting them to admit their feelings for each other would be a tad more fun than sitting on this ledge for who knows how long...
