"You said you wanted to date me. Here we go." Ophelia finally got her truck started and spun out onto Western.

"You kidnapped me for a date."

She slowed. "Oh, so that's how it is. If you don't want to go, I can take you home, kid."

"That's not what I said. I want to date you. I just didn't expect you to play games with me."

"Hell, yeah." He wondered if she meant that literally. Well, whether she meant it or not, he was going to take it literally. Except one thing. "You said a blond girl." Could Tanya have set this up?

"Yeah. Cute little thing. Hangs around with that girl with the scarface that you've been humoring."
