Richard chases the girl

Richard shook his head clear and ran out of the classroom.

The hall was empty. He looked in both directions, then guessed that she might have gone left towards the nearest exit. The confused man struck a quick pace down the hall.

Richard opened the double doors at the end of the hall and realized he'd guessed wrong. The parking lot was empty in all directions.

“Looking for something, Sir?”

Richard spun around. Two more girls stood in front of him. One was tall, with silky, long blonde hair. The other had shoulder length black hair and dark rimmed glasses. They both looked like they were on the edge of giggling.

“Did you girls see a student with short, spiky blonde hair? Running maybe?”

“Nope,” said the smiling brunette. “But we can help you find her. I'm Sammie and this is Lauren. You're the new physics teacher, right?”

Richard relaxed, enjoying the attention from the two very cute girls. “Yes. Do you girls have one of my classes?”

“Uh huh,” said Lauren. “But that's not why we know you. Every girl in the school knows about you, Mr. Stamp. Come on, we'll show you around and maybe you'll find the girl you're looking for.”

Sammie and Lauren slipped their arms through Richards' and led him down the hall. Even though he liked the attention, he knew it wasn't appropriate for a male teacher to walk arm-in-arm with students. “Girls, I don't-”

“Oh!” shouted Sammie, stopping in front of a door. “The art room! You've got to see the art room!”

Richard glanced at the window in the door, but couldn't see anything in the dark room. “Do you think that's where the girl went?”

“Nah,” said Lauren, tugging on his arm. “But it's an essential part of the tour. Come on!”
