Sandy cleared her throat. "I'm on board with your dream for us. But I can think of one reason why things might not work out quite the way you dream. For you to have Peter's baby. I mean, aside from fate and all that stuff."

"Why?" Kathryn asked.

Sandy began, "Because Peter...well, he already has a love child with Lil."

"Really?" Kathryn asked.

"Yes, she was tired of all the assholes and...and she asked if she could have Peter's child. She's still single, and she kinda wished she had noticed Peter 'in that way' before me, but..." Sandy answered. "I mean I always felt sorry for her, always getting in with idiots and do-nothings who always screwed her over. I let her do that, because I figured that a guy that dates a woman with a child will be...more likely to settle down, and the kid'll weed out the immature men."

"Good purpose, does Peter pay anything?"

"He gets the boy a gift whenever he sees him. His name is Jacob. Mollie suggested it. He'll be two in three months. Sweet kid, but then I figured that with Peter as his dad it'll be a sweetie."

"He's incapable of anything but sweet. Really. So..." Kathryn asked.

"I don't know if he'll want another..."

"From yet another woman?" Kathryn asked sadly. "May...maybe he's afraid I'd pass along the night blindness...but...but neither of my kids have it..."

"No, no not at all. I mean to say so soon. He may think I've put him out to stud. Now get back to you confident self...or you're going to make me cry." Sandy said, rubbing her lover's back she gave her best friend's ass a squeeze.
