"Hi, Major Hottie," said Montana. "I see you're back at work again."
"Why wouldn't I be?" asked Brooke as she stubbornly scrubbed at the moss-covered dock with a toothbrush. "Where else am I going to go?"
"Well, it's just as well you're here because Margaret asked me to give something to wear," said Montana.
"She did?" asked Brooke, getting up from all fours and turning around in a kneeling position. "What is it? A dress? A leotard? Overalls? A swimsuit? A --"
"Actually it's a hat," said Montana.
"A hat?" asked Brooke. "What can I possibly do with a hat?"
"Well, you can wear it, for one thing," said Montana. "Plus you're going to need something to cover your head if you keep working outside like this. I was going to try and get you some knee pads as well but Margaret said no."
Brooke glanced at the broad-brimmed hat that Montana held in her hand and told herself that it was better than nothing. But still... A hat? Just a hat? Seriously?
"Wait a minute," said Brooke. "You have something else in your hand. What is it?"
"Sunscreen," said Montana. "Margaret said to give you an all-over application of this so that you won't get a sunburn."
"She just now thought of that?" asked Brooke.
"Hey, she's a busy woman," said Montana. "Anyway, I also got a towel here. Would you rather take a break while I put some sunscreen on you or would you rather work?"
"I'll take a break," said Brooke.
