Play the record

Hannah sought her attention on the record player nearby, which looked like the one he used to have. Taking out 'Private Dancer', she placed it on the turntable and put the needle on.

By the time Turner's vocals appeared, this prompted Mammoth to turn and look over at Hannah. He noticed that the record player was on, and it was playing one of his favorite songs.

Walking closer to Hannah, he stood right in front of her, having gone from being usually sullen to being absurdly touched. "How'd you find this?" he asked.

"Well, I was thinking of a way to work with you, so I had to retrieve some particular stuff you've enjoyed," she replied.

It didn't take long for Mammoth to develop an unexpected but genuine smile, but he also smelled something. To his amazement, Hannah also brought with her the potato dumplings, which he graciously took from her.

"Mr. Peppermint, I honestly wish you'd put more effort into your job. And then none of this would've happened." She said to him.

Mammoth nodded and replied, "And if I didn't shoot myself out of despair, I would've turned myself in."

"Thank you, Hannah," he added, patting her head almost gently.

Hannah also smiled before she asked, "Do you think it'll be possible to turn back time and prevent your **** from ever occurring?"

"I hope so, but there was some sort of requirement. But it has been a while since I did it."

"Why is that?"

"A former co-worker and I wanted to be more than friends, so we spent the night together. Unfortunately, it was the day before I got fired. And, to make matters worse..." Mammoth responded before closing his eyes and trailing off.

"I killed her along with everyone else," he concluded, a giant tear falling from his face.

Hannah frowned before giving him a hug out of comfort. "It's okay, Mr. Peppermint."

He hugged her back, but soon pulled away. Mammoth appeared to be rather perplexed as he asked, "Hannah... do you really want to do this? What if this is your first time?"
