Chapter 60 by reaper13
Who is it?
A true fallen angel
As the visitor comes in, Angelica breaks the kiss and turns around to be the first to lay eyes on your visitor. But as soon as she sees who it is Angelica gasps, yells “No!” and rushes behind you to hide. She also pulls in her small wings to hide them behind her back like she did back when she was ashamed of being a half angel. Curious to see who could induce such fear into your girlfriend, you look upon the visitor, and quickly realize why.
Before you stands a woman who looks like she is in her mid-thirties. Her face looks like Angelica’s, but older. Her hair is black as night. Her clothes are dark as well. Her curves, both hips and breasts are absolutely perfect. It was as if you were looking at a more mature version of Angelica. There is however one key feature about this woman which is different and that is her wings. Yes, this woman too has wings, made of black feathers, just like Angelica’s. But these are no small wings, nay. The wings on this woman are just as big as those of Sariel.
You quickly realize that this woman is no mere visitor. She used to be an angel from the very heavens itself. But during her stay on the material world, someone managed to seduce her, causing her white wings to turn to black. Now she has lived here for god knows how many years, aging ever so slightly due to her angelic heritage. Yes, she may look like she is in her mid-thirties but in truth she is many decades older than anyone would assume.
“Hello, Angelica.” The woman says casually. “It’s been a while.”
Instead of responding, Angelica just stays hiding silently behind you.
“Still not saying hello to your mother?” The fallen angel asks as she slowly walks closer.
You knew it! This is Angelica’s mother! No wonder the two look so much like each other.
“Are you truly that disgusted by me still? Even after you did the same as what I did?” Angelica’s mother continues.
When she stands in front of you, the fallen angel crosses her arms in front of her chest and looks sternly at her daughter while saying, “Yes, I’ve seen your wings. I thought you promised you’d be better than me. Tell me, what happened to the little girl who was destined to become a true angel?”
This is bad. Your girlfriend is shrinking together the longer her mother chastises her mother. You’ve never seen Angelica this fragile. You need to do something.
“Greetings, miss.” You say. “I don’t believe we’ve met yet. I am Duke John.”
Angelica’s mother looks at you, then at your outstretched hand. For a moment you though she’d swat it away because angels tend to think of demons as filth. Instead, she shakes your hand kindly introduces herself.
“Greetings, Duke. My name is Doe. I am Angelica’s mother.”
“Her mother.” You reply. “Angelica has barely told me anything about you.”
“That does not surprise me.” Doe says. “My daughter and I have a very estranged relationship. At least when my wife was still alive there was at least someone around Angelica was willing to talk to.”
“Your wife?” You ask confused.
“My … other mother was a hermaphrodite.” Angelica says gently while also hiding her face from her mother. “It was she who produced the human genes that ended up creating me. But at least she was human. She had a reason to want sex. It was in her genetics. As for you …” Suddenly anger starts to creep into Angelica’s voice. “You are an angel. You were supposed to be perfect. Impervious to sin. Free from lust. But you gave in anyways.”
“It was never lust I gave in to, Angelica. But love.” Doe answers. Then Doe turns her eyes away from her daughter and says, “But you’re right. Angels like myself are not supposed to fall in love. We are supposed to be sereen. Love is not that. So, I am a sinner.”
Doe looks back to Angelica, or at least tries her best to look past you where her daughter should be, and continues. “But if I had not committed this sin, you would not exist. If I had the chance to travel back in time and prevent myself from loving your mother, I would choose not to. Sure, I could keep myself pure if I did that. But I would also prevent your life from happening. And in my opinion, that would be the greater sin.”
After Doe says those words, you realize that Doe bears no ill will to her daughter. It is simply Angelica who has silly ideas of how angels should behave. So, you decide to no longer stand in between mother and daughter and step aside. As you move away, Angelica remains where she is. Doe slowly walks forward. Angelica tries to protest but Doe opens her arms and embraces Angelica. As the angel embraces her daughter, you see tears start to form in her eyes.
“It’s been so long.” Doe says, her voice cracking. “Why did you have to run away like that. I missed you so much.”
Angelica needs some time of her mother hugging her. But eventually she returns the hug and says, “I missed you too, mom.”
Understanding that mother and daughter need some time together, you take your phone and start sending text messages. First to Talith, then to the others, telling them that if they need Angelica for any reason, they should contact you instead. You are happy Angelica got to accept her mother back into her life. Though you do have one question about Doe that worries you.
Is she going to approve of her daughter living in a temple devoted to sex while surrounded by slutty nuns?
A Bird in the Hand.
Or 'Love thy enemy'
After the war is over you (First name) have to decide the fate of your captive (Last name).
