Home sweet home

The walk from the afternoon whiped her out pretty good. It is the middle of the night when she wakes up again. The lights in the room are turned off and your're dozing in your chair.

"Jack.“ Melody is calling out for you. It takes several seconds for you to wake up completely.

"Yeah.“ you reply and wait for her to speak, because you think you may have imagined her calling out. Just as you decide it wasn't real and try to go back to sleep Melody continues.

"Did you....... did you mean it?“ she asks with uncertainty in her voice.

"Yes.“ you reply immediately, trying to sound confident. "I love you Melody.“
You close your eyes, because in the dim light you can't see her anyway. You listen carefully. But it seems like she has fallen asleep again and you follow a few minutes later.

The next two days go by pretty fast. Melody's recovery is pretty amazing and after just two days she seems as fit as ever. During this time the two of you are quite akward around each other. None of you mentions what happened.

At the forth day after you brought her to the hospital you arrive in Alisha's car, which she let you borrow again. Not to your surprise her attitude towards you hasn't changed one bit. Today Melody is checking out. The whole day seems brighter than usual to you, you can't wait to have Melody home with you again. You walk to room 127 and open the door.

You stop dead in your tracks and turn around after a moment. In the middle of the room Melody is just getting dressed. She's just in her underwear, a black thong and a matching bra, and a green blouse which she is just buttoning up. The contrast to her pale skin is undescribable and the image of her cleavage has bruned itself in your mind, before she manages to cover herself up a bit with a shocked look on her face.

"Melody, I'm sorry....I...“ you stammer. "I'm gonna wait outside.“ You rush outside and close the door. This incident will not help the tension between the two of you.

A few minutes later she opens the door and smiles at you, but says nothing. You get her bed from the bed and walk her to the car. You're glad her hospital stay turned out as it did and wonder what will happen next.

It takes over a week for the two of you to get back to normal. It seems like everything is just like before, but from time to time you catch yourself staring at Melody, when she watches a movie or is eating dinner and you think she knows too.

It is friday again and the dark clouds above your head remind you of that day two weeks ago. The first raindrops hit you just as you get out of the library and soak your jacket as you enter your dorm. The forecast said it would be quite a storm. You rush to your room to make sure the windows are closed. As you enter you wonder why Melody has closed the drapes and switched of the lights. Just as you are about to turn them back on Melody switches on the small kitchen light. She must just have gotten out of the shower, because she is dressed in her sweats and has her wet hair in a ponytail.

"No, leave them off.“ Melody says to you. You look around and see a pile of junk food and DVDs on the living room table. Melody follows your look and smiles.

"I thought we can make "friday movie night“ a regular thing.“ she tells as she walks to the couch with two beers in her hands.

"That sounds good.“ you reply and walk over to your dresser. You get out of your jacket and thow it over a chair to dry. It takes you only a moment to get into something more comfortable and you throw yourself on the couch next to Melody.

Melody has rented a movie for every mood, comedy, horror, action, thriller. You quickly agree to start light with the comedy. The movie is very funny and heartwarming and the food and beer makes it a perfect movie night. The temperature drops pretty fast and half an hour into the movie you grab a blanket and hand it to Melody. To your surprise she moves closer to you and spreads the blanket over both of you. Now you're just where you were two weeks earlier. Cuddling. The blanket combined with Melody's bodyheat feel great and you enjoy every moment. Encouraged by your proximity you sling one arm around her to pull her even closer. She responses by resting her head on your shoulder.

You sit like that for about an hour, enjoying every minute of it. The movie ends with the main characters getting together and then the credits start to roll. You wait for a minute for Melody to move, but she just stays as she is.

"I should put in the next movie.“ you break the silence. Melody tilts her head to the side and looks at you.

"Yeah, you should.“ she replies. She smiles at you, but you don't get up. Instead you lean in a little bit more, getting closer to her. Only inches seperate your faces and you look into each others eyes. The movie is long forgotten and you're drowning in her green eyes. You're drawn to her, you couldn't stop it if you wanted. After a minute you can't resist the urge and both of you move in for a kiss. It's gentle and sensual, her lips feel wonderful against yours. Before you know it Melody gently pushes you onto your back, never letting your lips part for a second. Her bodyweight feels so right to you.
