Divi's desire, visiting the ocean

Lex smiled while looking into Lysossia's eyes. He had seen many similar situations in video games. It was always wisest to ask for nothing for a larger reward later. However, this wasn't his only reason for doing this. He knew Lysossia was still drained from summoning that storm just moments ago. He moved his hand to her cheek and caressed it while saying. "You've done more than enough, Lysossia. I would imagine you are tired after summoning that powerful storm. Please, rest your pretty head. We'll be okay."

Lysossia's eyes gazed deeply into Lex's while unable to respond, her cheeks began to blush deeply. Lex blinked several times while leaning closer to her. He felt a lot of warmth drawn to her cheeks as they reddened. His finger tips caressed her cheek lightly as he asked. "Are you all right? Your cheeks have turned red and feel rather warm. You aren't coming down with something, are you?" Lysossia's eyes widened as she turned slightly away from him and said. "I, I must be a little tired, but I will be all right. Thank you for your concern, Lex." Her M score ticked up to 75. A new exclamation flashed that he allowed to pop up.

Divi and Sazla approached Lex from behind while he spoke. When they were several inches behind him, Divi asked. "Are we going to the ocean next, daddy?" Then Sazla asked. "We wanted supplies, right? Should we start looking?" Lex moved his hand from Lysossia's cheek while listening to Divi and Sazla before saying. "Yes, we will, Divi." He turned around before replying to Sazla. "We will start looking before we go. I wish to make sure that Lysossia is all right. I promise to join in the search for supplies afterwards, okay?" Divi cheered, turning around to search for supplies while saying to herself. "Supplies for the ocean, the ocean so blue!" Sazla nodded and walked off to look for supplies.

Lex turned back to Lysossia who was still blushing lightly and said. "Are you hurt or anything? Is there anything else I can do for you?" Lysossia shook her head and said. "I will be just fine. I can help with gathering supplies if you desire." Lex shook his head while bringing his right hand's pointer finger up to her lips and said. "I appreciate it, but I just want you to feel better. Okay?" She nodded while blushing more. Her M score ticked up to 85. Lex nodded before joining the others. Over the next hour and a half, Lex, Divi, and Sazla: hunted, gathered, and cooked what they felt they needed for their trip.

Sazla used one of the pelts to make a Simple bag to carry their supplies in before handing it to Lex to store in his inventory. They even brought some back for Lysossia. After all this was done, they said their goodbyes before setting out toward the ocean. Divi and Sazla were both in very high spirits after leaving the forest. Although they never told him why they were so happy about this, he was certain it was his concern for Lysossia. Speaking of her, he hoped that she was going to be okay. There were many concerns for a coldblooded creature like her, like overheating or becoming too cold.

An hour later, they arrived at the sandy coast

As they approached the sandy coast, they noticed something quite unsettling. There were twenty giant crabs crawling along the coastline. However, they saw a brown furred otter leaning heavily against a wicker basket about half his height and width. He sighed softly, gripping his left side with his right hand as he looked out over the ocean. He was wearing a white torn shirt with a rather large blood stain on it and black shorts, holding a spear with his left hand. Lex decided to use Observe on him as he approached and said. "Are you all right, mister? What happened?"

Lex was confused by the section of race and thought. 'Eurasian? I thought his race was Otterfolk. I guess D&D got this one wrong.' Thistle looked to Lex while lifting a brow and said. "Huh? Can't you see I'm bleeding to ****?" His M score dropped to 5. He grumbled before looking along the coast and continued to speak. "You see those giant crabs over there? When I went to go fishing a couple of hours ago. (Roughly half an hour before Lex left the forest.) I was ambushed by three of them. Their ambush scared me a little. I backed up and fell, but I managed to kill them. However, not before they gave me this wound. At least I took a few down with me."

Sazla started to chant softly as a cool green mist sprang forth from her finger tips, sweeping over Thistle's wound. She channeled the spell for 20 seconds, restoring 200 health over the duration, by that time the wound was completely healed. Lex looked to Sazla and said. "That was quite impressive, Sazla." He gently rubbed the top of her head before kissing her cheek. Sazla playfully grinned and looked quite pleased with herself. Lex returned his attention to Thistle who had stood up by this time and said. "Well, I'll be. Goodness, where are my manners. I'm Thistle Bank." His M score ticked up to 15.

Thistle looked to Sazla and bowed his head while saying. "Thank you, pretty lady. Might I have the pleasure of knowing my savior's name?" Sazla lifted a brow and said. "You're welcome, Thistle. Um, sure. I'm Sazla." Thistle nodded with a playful smile and said. "That's a pretty name, Sazla." He looked to Lex before saying. "You three seem like nice folk. Tell you what, if you'd be so kind as to clear out these giant crabs for me. I will catch some fish for you too. They are rather large, but tasty. I promise." Lex chuckled and said. "Sure, we'd be glad to help, Thistle." Lex looked out to the giant crabs on the beach and used Observe on them.

Divi was watching Sazla and puffed up her cheeks. A moment later, Divi said. "Watch me, daddy. I will take out these crabs for you." Lex started to protest while Divi ran onto the beach, her arms morphed into blades. Lex watched slightly worried for her safety while three giant crabs turned toward her and started to rush her. However, with three swipes she killed the first one, removing both of its arms and splitting it in two without taking any damage. 10 xp It was amazing watching Divi fight. She was graceful, beautiful, and deadly.

Lex, Sazla, and Thistle watched in silence as Divi danced her way across the battlefield. It was honestly a stunning display of skill in combat. She leaped onto one of the giant crabs while the rest tried to reach for her. She turned around and in one motion flipped, cutting off the arms of two of them before slamming into another one. 10 x 2 = 20 xp It was like watching a hardcore gamer crushing casual players in almost any game. Speaking of games, it reminded him of playing as Diao Chan from Dynasty Warrior's. These giant crabs were nothing to her, even though they were four levels above her.

Sure, it was one sided, but it was still quite the display of skill. It was almost scary how much Divi had learned since fighting those gnomes in mechs earlier. Lex couldn't help, but feel proud of his little girl. She oozed out over one of the giant crabs causing the others to finish it off for her, but shortly after she rose up as spikes, impaling the rest of them. 10 x 17 = 170 xp Both Sazla and Thistle's jaws had dropped, but interestingly enough, Divi had gained a level. After Divi had pulled herself back into her humanoid shape. She walked over to Lex, hugging Lex gently and asked. "Did I do good, daddy?" Lex received a notification that he had received Giant Crab Meat x 10 and $9.33.

Lex sighed softly, wrapping his arms around Divi to hug her nice and tight while saying. "Yes, but you shouldn't run off like that. That aside, you did very well. You've become quite the fighter." She smiled wide and nuzzled against Lex before looking to Sazla and stuck out her tongue. Sazla shook her head before looking to Thistle and said. "She took all the fun out of that. I guess you're up." Thistle nodded and said. "Wow, he must be quite the dad. Right, um, fish. I'll be back in a few minutes." His M score ticked up to 25.

While Thistle caught some fish for them all. Divi and Sazla went to play in the ocean. Lex made sure to keep an eye out while they had fun, but something appeared on Lex's mini-map while he was waiting. A new mark showing the location of the injured Sky Huntress had appeared. He expanded the mini-map and noticed it was in the center of all three of the previous locations. However, unlike the others, this one had a time limit of two hours. One thing was for certain, if they were going to get there with plenty of time to spare. They would need to leave as soon as possible.

Lex called out to Divi and Sazla, telling them that they needed to leave. Lex walked over to Divi and asked her to gather some water for their trip. Luckily, Thistle had just finished catching the last fish. After giving three of his large flounder to Lex, they properly introduced themselves before saying their goodbyes. Once Lex had placed those large flounder in his inventory, they began their journey to where the Sky Huntress had appeared. While walking Lex's mind ran over several questions. Was the Sky Huntress just that injured? Or was something on its way to attack her? Worst yet, was she already fighting and could only hold out for that long?
