Cassandra was the oldest Slytherin not to know where they we going. She had only been to the Slytherin common room once before, under polyjuice the first time. She followed close to Malfoy, who was 'guiding' the first years terribly. After winding through the Hogwarts dungeons. they came to an entrance marked with snakes, to which a Slytherin prefect told it "Basilisk". The stone wall opened up to reveal a lit hallway into the common room.

Cassandra followed a group of girls her age to her new dormitory. She quickly changed into pajamas, and collapsed into her bed, her lack of sleep the previous night washing over her. Her sleep was deep and peaceful.
