Link should head to the Fortress with the mask on, so he can get used to this form.

As much as Link might have wanted to possibly play around with what this mask could do, he knew that wasn't the right answer. Pulling out the Ocarina of Time, it actually took him a few tries to play Epona's Song correctly. His new lips didn't fit the same on the instrument, and the sound was coming out too high at first. Still, he figured it out, and soon Epona was running up, though looking a bit confused by Link's new appearance. Still, the horse let Link ride her, and for some reason being on his horse again just felt right to Link, in a way that was hard to really describe.

The ride to the Gerudo Fortress went by in a flash, and soon he had crossed the bridge and was ready to stroll in, as if being there was a normal thing, and he wasn't some intruder. After all, with the mask on, he appeared like any other Gerudo, it would be easy for him to just waltz right in.

In fact, that magic might have been too good. As Epona cantered towards the entrance to the Fortress, Link was surprise body slammed by someone from behind. Before he could realize who it was or properly fight back, he'd been tied up with ropes, tight enough that he couldn't move. There was no way for him to escape. Looking at the man who'd done this, Link saw it was Mutoh, the leader of the carpenters. "Got one of you now!" he barked, smiling savagely. "With you as ransom, I can get back some of my idiot workers!" Then he scoffed, looking genuinely angry. "You took that horse too, didn't you, you thief? The boy with that horse was going to save my boys, but now I have to." Before Link could explain, the carpenter tied some fabric around his mouth, working as a gag.
