A lake dragon spirit

Chihiro stood in the middle of the throne room, watching the high council of spirits converse, some with disgusted faces, others with excitement. The Spirit Lord shushed the room, as he called Haku to stand next to his soon-to-be bride, assuming she did earn spirithood.

When the Spirit Lord stood up, Chihiro shrunk back a bit into her lover's arms, Haku accepting her into his embrace.

Many of the high spirits saw the love the two felt for each other, some deciding to change their minds, others still too hard hearted to accept a human spirit.

"Nigihayami Kohakunushi, how much do you love this human?" The Spirit Lord said. Haku held her closer, as her white robes began fluttering from a sudden burst of wind coming from an open window.

"With all my heart, my lord."

Chihiro would've squealed, but she wasn't the type of girl to express her inner emotions. "Why does she deserve to become a dragoness, and to be your mate?"

"I believe I have the answer." Everyone turned to the door as a familiar old witch spirit walked in.

Haku let Chihiro go as she ran to the newly arrived spirit.

"Granny!"

"Chihiro, you've grown so much, you look so beautiful!" Zeniba said as Chihiro realized her own spirit form looked like her 21 year old self. "Well, I actually grew more than this, and I was as old as you when I died." Chihiro said, remembering the wisdom she learned in her 85 years of being human.

"I highly doubt it. I'm 3000 years old, Chihiro." Chihiro stepped back sheepishly. "Yeah, sorry."

Zeniba walked forward to the center of the room and spoke; "75 years ago, Chihiro came to the spirit world accidentally. She met Haku, and even stitched him up when he had deep wounds. She recovered my golden seal from my sister, and even helped to free Haku from Yubaba's contract. Chihiro and Haku's love for each other is unchangeable, and the only way for it to work out for them is if Chihiro became a dragon spirit."

Each member of the High Spirit Council seemed to agree with Zeniba, as the vote for Chihiro's spirithood was unanimous.

"You will become a lake spirit, a water dragon like your lover." The Spirit Lord said, while Chihiro listened intently, her heart(?) beating a thousand miles a minute. "Your lake will spring up in your home village, at the same spot where he saved your life 80 years ago."

And with a flash of light, Chihiro felt herself lifting off the floor, as she began to change in midair. Haku witnessed his soon-to-be mate transforming into a beautiful dragoness, as her robes disappeared and her slender naked body grew colorful scales, and her hair grew out, also changing color, both accommodating her lengthening body.
