There’s an interruption that Temari to leave, so he’s left alone.

Temari tried to slow her beating heart as she sat in her tree. Before she’d developed her genjutsu skills Gaara has been a very serious threat to the existence of anyone around him, as a result she’d grown very skilled at noticing danger in her surroundings.

It was this skill that let her slip out of Naruto’s room just in time to avoid the ANBU patrol seeing her there.

Unfortunately she wasn’t able to totally escape them, and as a result was **** to, as calmly as possible, pretend not to notice them and put on a bit of a show.

There was no escaping them seeing that she was sneaking around so she made her way to the training grounds and began spying on the people still training there. She could only hope that they bought her act and believed that this was all she’d been sneaking around for.

As tense as it was Temari couldn’t help but notice the girl in front of her and feel slightly bothered. There was something on the tip of her tongue but she couldn’t quite make out what it was.

Suddenly she remembered what the old woman had said “Watch out for the boy in orange, Naruto UZUMAKI” Temari blinked in disbelief. There was no way that the girl in front of her was an Uzumaki, her brother Gaara was proof that redheads could come from other families.

Despite the logical part of her brain telling her this, Temari couldn’t help but feel like the frail thing in glasses that was being used by her team as a glorified battery, had the potential to be useful.

Her father underestimated how much control she had over Gaara, and as a result she’d been able to use Gaara’s sand eyes to spy on his documents when he was out. Because of this spying Temari knew that the Grass village was going to be Attacked and assimilated by their allies the sound village after the invasion against the leaf.

Not having a ton of time or desire to do more, and wary of tipping her hand with ANBU nearby, Temari sent out a very subtle message to implant in the red headed girl’s mind. Should she escape the attack on the grass village she’d find that the sand village would feel like the safest place to run to.

Satisfied that set up enough future investments for one night, Temari returned to her room and went to sleep, confident that nothing could go wrong.

Of course, things did go wrong.
