It’s a 12

When she rolls the dice back to you, you are amazed to see both of them land on a 6. You first re-seat yourself so you sit next to her, then you start telling her your story.

“My parents are minor nobles.” You explain. “That is how I was able to quickly get a job a captain on a military ship. It was only a small ship, of course, but I was so good at picking off smugglers that I was quickly given command of a bigger ship. Then a plot was uncovered about a noble selling his own people into slavery to pirates. My ship and I were placed under the command of the previous Demon Admiral and we were sent to attack the pirate’s home base. Unfortunately, we were ambushed and we lost many ships. Even the flag ship with the then Demon Admiral on it was destroyed. It was I who then rallied the remaining ships for a counterattack and defeated the pirates. After that I was promoted to Commodore. But a few years later, when I was announced the next Demon Admiral, that battle was one of the main reasons I was promoted.”

“That’s all very nice and interesting.” Doe says. “But that is more about you instead of your family.”

“Right.” You say. “Aside from my parents I also have a younger sister. Three years my junior. She’s a hermaphrodite, so sometimes I could talk about girls with her as a would with a brother. That was fun. Aside from my parents and my sister I don’t have any other close family.”

“I don’t have any siblings, but my mother and aunt lived in the same street.” Doe says. “They both got pregnant around the same time and both had daughters. So, since me and my cousin were the same age and we lived so close, we often played together. Basically, we were as close as sisters can be. Still are, in fact.”

After listening to her you place a hand on her thigh and say, “You won the bet, you didn’t need to tell.”

“I know.” Doe says. “But I would like to ask a favor of you. See, I’m worried about my cousin. I want to know whether she is safe or not. If she is even still alive. I can’t do that while I’m stuck here.”

“You want me to find her for you.” You say out loud as you realize what she wants.

“If you would be so kind.”

You let your eyes fall to Doe’s chest. Then you raise them back to look into her eyes and say, “One favor for another.”
