Interrogate other staff members

Sally wheeled her cart to the start of a long hallway, and then abandoned it. She went down the hall, opening each and every door without knocking, looking for anyone who could tell her more about this mansion. Grey clearly wasn’t in the mood to talk, so she would need to find someone more friendly. But, when she reached the end of the hall, the ghost hunter had struck out. Not a single living soul was in the East Wing.

“She’s in charge of all the other maids, but who are the other maids? Is it just me?” Sally mumbled.

Sally backtracked to the foyer, stumbling around due to her uncomfortable stilettos. She stepped into the dining room. Again, empty. And the kitchen was, shockingly, void of any chefs. As far as Sally could tell, she and Grey were the only ones in the mansion.

“How can she call this place normal with a straight face!? This isn’t normal!”

Sally considered her options, sighed, and resigned herself to some light cleaning. The stories she’d heard were incredibly vague, as though the events happening in this mansion were so terrifying that no one dared talk about them at length. But, when her colleague questioned them, all the maid applicants had confirmed that weird things happen in this mansion. If she couldn’t ask anyone directly about what those weird things were, she’d just have to play her role until the paranormal activity came to her.
