Chapter 229 by robyna
Well, is it sex or is it financial planning?
Is both okay?
Kat and Tiffany were both waiting in the hotel room when Rick and Nancy returned from dinner, dishes from their room service meal scattered over the bed. Both had stripped down to panties and nothing else.
"This is awkward." Nancy froze halfway in the door.
"We're not done." Rick guided her over to a small table. "And Kat and Tiffany are part of the plan."
"I'm not sure I'm in for that kind of plan. Just because I'm Indian doesn't make me kinky."
As far as Rick was concerned, there was nothing kinky about him and three attractive women. Still, if Nancy wasn't ready for it, that was fine.
"We can leave," Kat offered. "There's some sort of show downstairs."
"First I want to show Nancy something." Rick turned to the security officer. "Can I borrow your knife?"
"What... how did you know?"
Besides the fact that he'd been studying her body the entire time they'd been at dinner? "I pay attention to things."
She took a small sheath knife from inside her pants and passed it over to him then rested her hand on her pistol. "If you're thinking of trying something stupid, I did rodeo trick shooting to help pay my way through college. I'm willing to bet I could shoot you before you did anything useful with the knife."
"Good to know," Rick said. "Lucky for me the stupid thing I was going to try isn't aimed at you."
He inspected the knife which had a practical feel to it with a worn leather-wrapped handle and a non-stainless steel blade that had been ground down a bit by repeated sharpening and still retained a razor-edge.
He grit his teeth, put the knife to his arm and slid the point into his flesh.
"What the fuck?" Unsurprisingly he was pretty sure all three women had said the same thing at the same time.
"Hurts like shit," he admitted. He held out his arm so Nancy could see he wasn't playing games. The cut was deep and he must have cut some sort of minor artery because blood came out in spurts rather than the steady flow of a vein.
"Trust me, this isn't some sort of magic trick. But watch my arm." He held it out and, as the women watched, the deep wound sealed itself.
"That," he said, "is bio-DNA. And that is what changes everything."
It took less than a minute of further explanation before Nancy had leapt ahead of him, drawing conclusions he hadn't yet arrived at. "Everyone knows about our alcoholism problem but we've also got hepatitis, diabetes, obesity, lung cancer, heart disease... not to mention shitty access to hospitals and clinics. Our women can't get birth control thanks to the government shutting down planned parenthood and we don't have access to maternity care."
"This invention can solve all of those problems," Rick promised. "But right now it's being sold for a million dollars a dose."
"Great. So if you win the world series of Poker, you'll be able to afford one dose. Not sure how that helps the tribe."
"But it costs less than a buck a dose to make."
"Who cares? It still costs a million."
"And that brings us to the plan."
"And that brings us to the exit," Kat announced. "We'll be back in three hours so if you're still here, Nancy, be ready to play with the girls as well as the boys."
"I'm pretty sure I'll be gone."
Kat laughed. "I thought that way once, too. Rick can be... persuasive."
As the two women left, Rick turned back to Nancy. "So, persuasion first or the plan?"
Persuasion or plan?
