A good end, to troubled times

Khaxat let go of his longbow, though his wound hindered him greatly, he wasn't counting himself out just yet. In an attempt to stop Fenvi's chanting, he reached for one of his knives along his belt. However, before he even manage to pull it out. Zisho flew over, slamming the underside of her foot against Khaxat's right arm, pinning it against the tree behind him, causing 55 damage. 55 damage Zisho shook her head as Khaxat screamed in pain, saying something unintelligible. Zisho pressed her foot a little harder against his arm, causing another 5 damage and said. 5 damage "If this doesn't work, Khaxat. I will be **** to put you down. It is the least I can do as your superior."

Khaxat's Hp: 190/450

Khaxat was breathing heavily while looking up to Zisho with defiance and hatred in his eyes. However, several seconds later, his expression softened, looking slightly down. As his resistance faded, Angelo's quest turned itself in.

Quest complete: Defending the Supply lines

Reward: Qarsizur: The Fickle Blade and $500. Optional bonus: 250 xp and 1 skill point.

Before Angelo could think about what to do next, a new quest popped up.

The enemy of my enemy.

- Convince Zisho, Daras, and Aerethe to join forces with you and Slyka against a common foe.

Reward: Training, combat, and resourcefulness skills for Slyka's forces will be improved by 100% and 250 xp.

Optional: Convince Khaxat to join too

Reward: Hunting parties and ranged fighters for Slyka's forces will be improved by 50% and Icy grip lvl 1

Accept or Decline?

As Angelo clicked, 'Accept', Fenvi finally completed her spell to cleanse, Khaxat's mind. However, it was at this moment that something unexpected occurred. A darkness began to ooze out of Khaxat's ears, slowly overtaking his form. Once this metamorphosis completed, it reminded Angelo of those simplistic demons that a child would draw when they saw something scary that they couldn't explain. The dark horned figure's eyes opened, glowing red. It looked to each of them before focusing on Angelo and said. "Struggle all you like, Gaia's chosen. In the end, you and everyone you care about will burn." This figure let out an echoing cackle, lingering for several more seconds before its eyes began to flicker. Its form started to crack, releasing smoke before dissipating into thin air, leaving Khaxat's body in its wake. Much to Angelo's surprise, Khaxat's score reset to 0 before jumping up to 50.

Zisho and Fenvi looked to Angelo, an obvious look of confusion and worry upon their faces, but Zisho broke the silence with a smile and said. "Spoken like a sore loser." She chuckled before looking to Angelo before continuing to speak. "I am sorry we took so long. It took longer to explain the situation to Slyka and her underling, Stard than I had expected. Luckily mentioning your name got me an audience with them rather quickly." By this time Fenvi had moved to Khaxat and was healing his wounds.

Before Angelo could reply, Aerethe pounced him from behind with a hug, looking over his shoulder at Khaxat. "Oo, what happened? Was Khaxat actually corrupted?" She asked, looking to Angelo before letting go of him, walking slowly over to Khaxat. Zisho nodded slightly before saying. "Angelo was fighting Khaxat when Fenvi and I arrived, but yes. Khaxat had a darkness inside him. Luckily with Fenvi's help. His plight has been removed." Aerethe leaned down and hugged Khaxat tightly and said. "I see, I am glad he is no longer suffering. However, I am so sorry that I didn't notice you were in pain, Khaxat."

Again before Angelo could reply, Daras's voice came from behind him, giving him quite the start. "Well, it is nice to know I am not the only one who got their ass handed to them today." When Angelo turned around, he noticed Daras was holding his ax once again, but the worrisome thing was that the Jagged Rope was in tatters within Daras's other hand. "Oh, sorry about your little rope, but it was either this or trying to drag my ax with my hands behind my back. I am sure you understand." Daras score jumped up to 35 as he handed it to Angelo who nodded with a sigh, opening his inventory to put the pieces inside.

While he had his inventory open, he pulled out that new skill book, Qarsizur: The Fickle Blade, immediately receiving a pop up.

Qarsizur: The Fickle Blade. When learned will teach the following combat style.

While using one or two, one handed blade(s), allows the use of this combat style.

When the blade(s) are held upward increases the wielder's ability to deflect enemy strikes by 20%.

When the blade(s) are held downward, damage is increased by 20%.

When the blade(s) are held sideways, evasion is increased by 20%.

When the blade(s) are held in different directions, both bonuses will be applied, but reduced by 50%.

Requires 30 Strength, 30 Agility, and 30 Intellect.

Accept or Decline?

Angelo smiled reading that and thought, 'Huh, I haven't heard of this style before, but it looks pretty interesting to me.' He quickly hit, 'Accept' and felt the information pour into his brain. It felt like he spent several years training to use his blade, perfecting his technique with this new style, but when that training was over, he snapped back to reality as if nothing had happened. He shook his head, trying to remember what he was up to before using that skill book. The thought soon came to him, there was a skill point he had left to spend. He closed his inventory and opened his character sheet, looking his stats over before adding that skill point in Agility.

Zisho walked over to Angelo, looking him over playfully before leaning in to whisper into his ear. "I found out from Fenvi that you could change forms, but she didn't mention that you could turn into a Drakyn. Mm, I have to admit, I didn't think you could look anymore attractive to me, but you have proven me wrong." She kissed his cheek gently before saying. "If you are up for it, I would love to feel your baby maker inside me again." He felt his dick stir, growing semi hard just from her words. He smiled, lifting a hand to her cheek and said. "Mm, are you sure you're up for another round?" Zisho started to blush, but nodded and said. "More than I wish to admit." Angelo felt his cheeks redden as he blushed, but began to chuckle when he looked to Fenvi and the others.

He was happy to see that Fenvi had Khaxat's shoulder back in place and had finished healing his wounds. Aerethe was making it difficult for Khaxat to stand, crying on his shoulder and holding him close. Daras on the other hand was just laughing it up. When Angelo's eyes looked back to Zisho, she was looking at her comrades with a relaxed smile upon her face. Within this moment, Angelo felt like he knew peace, but knew it wouldn't last.

With his other quest out of the way and everything had calmed down he began to wonder, how hard would it be to convince Zisho and the others to join forces with him and Slyka. He was fairly certain that it would be easy enough to convince, Zisho, Daras, and Aerethe, but what about Khaxat? It would be great to have their help against this dark foe. Speaking of which, who was this foe anyway? He hoped to find out soon, if only to finally have a face to put to that dark mask.
