Mario makes his move

Mario and peach manage to walk the first 45 minutes of the journey without exchanging glances at one another, until peach finally breaks the ice
"sooo, was she better than me?"
Mario quickly coughs as if he had swallowed a fly, trying his best to avoid giving her an answer
"well, mario?" Peach stops and places her hand firmly on her hip, as if to show him signs that she was serious, Mario was sweating waterfalls at this point
"n-n-no of course not, not by a long shot!" Mario gives her a smile, peach tilts her head to one side before shrugging it off
"Well, because you seemed rather enthusiastic when you told me this earlier!" Peach says, folding her arms
"Oh, i-it just slipped, that's was all. I was just excited to see you again!" Mario shakes his head, hoping that does the trick, otherwise he's in huge trouble. Peach gives him a long soulless stare before smiling
"Great. That's all i needed to hear!" Peach gives him a cute smile before continuing to walk, mario turns to her, trying to see if he can get lucky before getting home
"you know, it's quite a while before we get back to yours, whatd'ya say we have a break right by that bush over there" Mario points to the large bush adorned with what can only be described as fruit
