Fred had all the food now set out ready to eat. He began with some French toast, proceeded with the eggs, and before he could get to the sausage and bacon there was a knock on his door. Without thinking he swung the door open only to reveal and his landlord Barbra standing there. She was in her mid-sixties and looked it she wasn’t very caring about anything other than money.
“Fred! You owe me your full rent and the late fee right now or you are sleeping on the streets!” Fred knew it was foolish to just swing the door open. He just figured with his new luck charm it would be something great again.(Maybe, next time he’ll be happier with what is at the door). “Hold on one second Barbara, let me fetch my card.” Fred brought over one of his debit cards “Here, this card is attached to an off shore bank account with tons of money. Take it I won’t miss it!” He slammed the door shut and went to finish his food.
Fifteen minutes passed and he hadn’t gotten any response from her nor another knock. “She must be pissed!” Fred thought.
Barbara was gonna file for Fred’s eviction and call the police. She figured for the heck of it run his card a few times and get it locked. Barbara grinned “This will prove him right!” Running the card for quadruple the regular price of rent. Barbara’s face went from mischievous to shock. The transaction was approved and he had just practically thrown this card at her. She looked up the fastest flight she could take to Hawaii booked a ticket with the card and let the desk clerk know she was taking a long vacation.
