I sat in my throne of hay, my knuckles against my forehead and May between my legs. Theo had really thrown me through a loop, and I'd realized soon after leaving him that his two-day limit was a test. I could make her do anything, I had yet to find a limit to the effect, other than her own will to fight. But she didn't have the strength to resist.

I sighed. All of my previous goals assumed anonymity and minor comforts were all I wanted. But, if I want to live up to expectations, I'll have to get it all done tomorrow.
