Jamie and Laurel Arrive

When Jamie and Laurel arrived, they were completely taken in by the outside of the house. It was more beautiful than they could have ever imagined. Sure there were photos that accompanied the Craig's List ad, but it looked more breathtaking in person. They stood on the portico, and knocked on the front door with the Mandarin Lion brass knocker.

"I love this place!" Jamie was beside herself. "Just look at this old antique knocker! It's so well preserved. It's almost like stepping into another era!"

"Maybe we should start dressing in Victorian or Goth clothes from now on?" Laurel jested.

"I know you're joking" Jamie took a playful swipe at her. "But seriously, we could do that. Especially for Halloween. That's coming up, you know. But I wouldn't want to do it full time."

"You're right" agreed Laurel. "This place does look very Halloweenish. With the right touches we could make a spectacular looking haunted house for all the trick or treaters in the neighborhood."

The entity of the house could not help but smile to itself. These two were more perfect than anyone who had ever lived here. They actually loved the old house it had become attached to. It started to think about its own loneliness. Maybe it would be better to keep someone here who really loved the place that it might be able to have fun with itself? The entity looked the two lovely college coeds up and down, sizing them up. They were so beautiful, so perfect. They could become a very good fit, as long as they were willing to serve it in the same capacity as Ned Pepper had.

Ned opened the front door. He smiled at the two lovely coeds, and stood off to the side, gesturing them to come in. "Welcome ladies. Shall I show you around?"

"There's no real need for that, Mr Pepper" Laurel spoke. "We want the house. What can I say? We both fell in love with it." She pulled her wallet from her pocketbook, and counted out three hundred dollars. Then she handed it to Ned. "Three hundred on the nose, sir!"

Ned took the money, and put it in his pocket. "Well then, I guess all that's left is a few signatures, and the place is yours!" He led them to the table where the lease lay wanting for them to sign. Laurel signed first, followed by Jamie. Ned then took all the signed papers, and put them back in his briefcase. "It is now officially your house. You can move in any time you want."

The two girls were ecstatic. They jumped and giggled, and hugged each other. "Let's go get our stuff now" suggested Laurel. "I want to move in as fast as I can."

If the entity could have high fived Ned right now, it would have done so. The more it looked at the two coeds, the more taken by them it became. Then it suddenly remembered the deal it made with Ned. No, it couldn't allow Ned to make them pregnant. It knew Ned wanted off the hook, so maybe it was time to let Ned go as its caretaker and landlord? It could easily do that by forcing Ned to sign over the property to both women, who then would become its only owner. Then the fun could really begin! Perhaps it could even father children with them itself?

After the two coeds left, it was time to have a serious talk with Ned. The entity again took the form of a blue orb, and hovered before Ned. "I know the deal I made with you, Ned. And i will honor it, if you decide that it;s what you want. But I have a new deal for you. You've always longed to be free of me. I will now give you a way to be rid of me, once and for all."

"Okay, I'm listening" Ned responded. "What do you have in mind?"

"I want you to sign ownership of the house over to those two women. They will become responsible for me instead of you. The only question is do you want your freedom more than you want to knock up two young college girls?"
