The Krypto-wolf vs the Vargheist!

Chapter 140 by gorel29 gorel29

Rushing towards the battlements of the castle, the hordes of werewolves charged, ready to attack the no-life king and his forces. Despite what they had been turned into, each of them didn’t blame the Batman, if anything many thanked him, thanked him enough that they wanted to be the ones to help HIM save the city for once. Seeing the Count’s powers cut off Gotham in a circle of flames and destroy Wayne tower with the replacement of his own spire was enough to convince the wolves who was the TRUE threat to the city. Rushing towards the front gate, the massive wolves got ready for a fight.

They were never ready for Vicky!

With a deafening screech, the winged vargheist swooped down and raked past the group of wolves with her taloned feet like a massive predatory bird, knocking them off their feet and snatching them up one at a time to feed off. The massive draconian bat monster drained the wolves of their blood, leaving nothing but dried fur and bones to drop from the sky as she circled overhead. Swooping around the castle again, Vicky made for another strike, her piercing scream stunning the wolves still, clutching their sensitive ears as they all fell to their knees. With her wings up and claws brandished, Vicky made to strike when a honey coloured blur came out of nowhere, striking the massive vargheist and having her tumble and roll into a series of parked cars, causing them to explode when Vicky kept going and slammed through a building, the small three story apartment collapsing and burying the beast in stone and rubble.

“Let’s see you try that again bitch!” Growled Kara, her hackles up and rattling when she spotted a massive leathery wing burst out of the rubble and climb its way out. Already she could tell the beast was rapidly healing, the blood she had gorged on giving her all the fuel she needed to heal off even the worst of injuries. Snapping her bear trap of a jaw shut, the vargheist stomped out of the burning rubble on its pinions and hind legs, her eyes wild and manic with thirst and leering back at the krypto-wolfess in mindless rage.

Staring into the creature’s milky white eyes, Kara blinked and looked away, feeling the beast try to worm her way into her head. “Oh, no you don’t!” Letting her eyes glow red, Kara charged up her heat vision, glaring back at the vargheist even when she screeched and went into a barreling charge like some crazed, rabid bear. Hitting her at full blast, Vicky screeched so loud, her voice shattered street lights and windows, her left wing at the shoulder seared clean off and tumbled away while the rest of her slammed head first into the wall of the castle, flailing around, insane with pain and rage. Hovering above the ground with her eyes still glowing red, Kara watched on as the beast rapidly regrew her missing limb. She had to finish this, now!

Rearing back, Kara meant to blast Vicky and the castle behind her, ending everything here and now until her hearing picked up a sonic boom in the distance. Turning to look where it was coming from, a blue blur came at her. A pair of strong arms wrapped around her body and Kara found herself hoisted up and lifted out of the battle zone, flying overhead until she was out of sight and past the clouds.

Regrowing her wing, Vicky snarled, righting herself back up to her feet and looked around for the krypto-wolf, roaring out to find her gone. Rearing her head up, Vicky sniffed the air and snapped her attention back to the army of werewolves charging towards the castle gates, licking her fanged teeth in thirst.

Struggling in the grip of her capture, Kara growled and barked in rage before she was finally let go. Snapping around with her hackles raised and her four claws brandished, the fight left her completely when she looked down at the frightened but determined face of her cousin, his fists up ready to defend himself.

“My GOD Kara, what has Bruce done to you…” Looking up at the monstrous wolf creature, Clark was heart broken to find his cousin twisted into a massive six limbed werewolf, a crag wolf native to krypton. Had they been standing she would have towered over him twice over, being 12 feet tall, her long saurian tail hung heavily behind her and her four claws looked sharp enough to harm even him, Dracula had told him that Bruce had become a werewolf and had created a plague in Gotham; a plague of mindless killers bent only to kill and slake their hunger. He didn’t expect Kara to speak.

“He… He did what he could to help me.”

“HE did this to you!” He yelled, his eyes glowing red as he looked down, trying to find Bruce in the horde of wolves attacking Dracula’s castle.

“NO! He didn’t bite me, another did!” Yelled Kara, grabbing Clark’s arm to keep him there but leaving her grip gentle. “He gave me back my mind, gave me back ME, he’s been trying to save as many as he COULD from this plague, he’s almost succeeded.” Gently cupping her cousin’s face in her two massive claws and the other two at his shoulders, she made him look her in the eye. “We’re not monsters Clark, I’ve never been more at peace with myself… I’m a mother now and will be again.” Bringing his hand in hers she made him press his palm against her solid abdominal muscles, just above her lowest pair of breasts. Looking more closely he could see and hear five heart beats in her naval. “You see? We’re not alone anymore Clark.” Slowly pulling her cousin in for a hug, the red caped hero was almost child-like in size to the wolfess hugging him close and nestling his head and body in her six heavy breasts.

“Look, look down there Clark.” She asked, helping him see what she was seeing. Finally getting the big picture, Superman found that the battle front was being contained by the werewolves themselves. The massive beasts keeping humans from entering the area and getting themselves killed while they fought off the vargheist guarding Dracula’s castle.

“He doesn’t care Clark; good, bad, he plans on killing us all and then wiping Gotham off the face of the Earth, if we don’t stop him now, everyone here is gone, and it wont matter if they howl at the moon or not!”

Steeling himself and separating from the massive wolfess, Superman watched on as Vicky Vale screeched and swooped down on a pack of wolves trying to charge the gate. Deciding, Superman flew down at the speed of a cannonball, with Kara in tow.

Screeching at her prey and raising her talons to strike, Vicky’s maw hung open to snatch another wolf into her teeth, ready to taste his blood on her tongue. Then it hit her! Like a cannon strike Vicky slammed headfirst into the concrete with enough force to cause a fissure in the earth and make the ground quake. Getting up from her prone position and hearing the ‘crick crack’ of her bones reknitting, another, BIGGER strike slammed into her again, making the crater larger.

Hovering over the crater, the two Kryptonians loomed over the broken form of Vicky Vale, her injuries rapidly healing. Looking over his shoulder, Clark found himself looking down at dozens of massive werewolves looking up at him in awe and fear.

“Go! Stop him while you can, we’ll hold her off.”

Much to Superman’s surprise he found many of them smile and nod back at him, heading towards the castle gates and try to break their way in. His attention back on Vicky, Clark was surprised to find the creature almost fully healed after being nearly reduced to pulverized bones and organs. “How do we stop her?”

“Do you have a wooden stake?”

Fully healed and still grounded, Vicky sneered up at the two hovering over head. Foaming drool dripped from her fanged maw as she crawled out of the crater and sized up her opponents, her milky white eyes glazed over in mad hunger.

“Cousin, whatever you do, don’t look in her eyes.” Kara warned, avoiding eye contact with the vargheist as it circled her and Clark. But while she moved to avoid Vicky, Clark remained in place, hovering in the air looking back at Vicky. “Superman?”

Slowly turning around, Clark’s eyes looked glazed over, held deeply in a trance-like state. Looking back at Vicky, Kara swore the mindless beast gave a crooked grin back at her. When the vargheist screeched, Superman launched himself at Kara.
