"I just hate it when they call them kids," said Amy Phillips. "It makes them sound like baby goats."
Amy's passenger just nodded his head and looked out at the scenery.
"Anyway, I wasn't really planning to go work as a camp counselor this summer," said Amy. "Not after what happened to my cousin Annie in New Jersey a few years ago. But Margaret was insistent and while she's a bit of a bear to work with, she does pay well. Plus I got great big you to protect me so win, win for me."
The passenger just nodded again, gazing at the brunette driver as if he got picked up by such girls every day of his life.

Amy switched the station to one that was playing a Cyndi Lauper song.
"Now that's an improvement," said Amy. "They play that other song way too much anyway."
Then she glanced at her passenger and asked, "Hey, why are you looking at me like that, Richard?"
The man known in some quarters as Richard Ramirez simply smiled and said, "I was just admiring all the wonderful zippers and buttons on your clothes, querida."
Amy smiled and said, "Well, you never know. You just might get lucky and find out how those zippers and buttons work tonight. After all, I have to take off all this stuff some time."
Ramirez smiled back but said nothing. Though he did find it cute that the poor dumb girl actually thought that Ramirez would give her a choice as to when her clothes would come off...
