(Main Story) Only while at work...

The rest of Lex's work day was mostly uneventful, except for Jacob's unexpected "accident" in the bathroom. Paramedics, a loud siren, and Jacob's mostly incoherent groans of a beautiful woman in the men's bathroom. It was a surprise to Lex, was Jacob seriously praising his female form after being obviously traumatized by him? Lex felt an odd sense of pride, even if this was about Lex's female form, it made him feel a little happy. Still, there was no way he was going to forgive Jacob for trying to **** him. 'Why am I getting flustered about being praised for being considered beautiful as a woman by such a man?', Lex wondered while shaking his head. On a more positive note, Jacob had lost quite a bit of credibility in the office over this event.

Hmm, speaking of events, Miss Fox was walking by Lex's desk and smiled, but she didn't stop or say anything. This made sense, too much time spent together not working at the office would cause trouble for them both. He had made sure to smile in return, but for the rest of the time he kept to his work.

After Lex had clocked out, a little after 5 p.m., he received a call. He blinked seeing his sister's name, Sofia. Sure, they weren't blood related, but they had spent a number of awkward teenage years growing up together. He answered it with a, "Hello?" and heard the soft bubbly voice of his little sister.

Sofia: "Hey, Lex. How is my favorite awkward brother doing?"

Lex: "I am your only brother, sis. I am all right. What's up?"

There was a momentary pause before she replied.

Sofia: "Oo, someone sounds more manly today. Did you take a self confidence class?"

Lex sighed, but didn't feel that was entirely wrong as he walked to his car and said. "Uh, something like that. The last day or so has just been an eye opener is all. Seriously though, what did you want to talk about?" He heard a soft giggle before she replied. "Ah, I see. Well, I was thinking about stopping by to see if I could help with your hair and skin. I am a Cosmetologist after all. I could even do your nails if you'd like." She giggled a bit more loudly this time. It was obvious that she was enjoying teasing him so, which made him sigh. "If you just wanted to visit you could just say so. You do not need to tease me about my looks." She chuckled before saying. "Mm, yes, but where is the fun in that? How's 6 for you?" Lex thought about what he would need to do once he got home and nodded to himself while saying. "Sure, I will see you at 6." They said their goodbyes while Lex began his drive home.

Luckily for Lex, he didn't live very far from work. By the time he got home, he had about forty minutes before his sister would arrive. With this much time to spare his mind began to wander. This was the first time in a while he was alone and able to think about what has happened to him. Come to think of it, he hadn't had a chance to look at some of the things he had gotten previously. He used a mental command to open his inventory and looked over what he had. He used Observe on the following objects to obtain information he had previously missed out on before.

Cost: 20 Hp and Mp

Sends out a torrent of shadow energy siphoning 10 Hp and Mp from the target every second for 10 seconds.

Special: This effect doubles if you are physically touching the target.

Corpse explosion lvl 1 - Range 30 yd - (Male only)

Cost: 50 Mp

Target your ghoul or a corpse, causing it to explode for 10 damage + Intellect and Strength to all enemies within 5 yd of the ghoul or corpse.

Special: Ghoul(s) used this way have their next summoning cost reduced by 50% for 1 minute.

Requirements: 20 Intellect, 20 Wisdom, and 20 Strength.

He blinked reading all of that and smiled. He wouldn't need to worry about getting anyone pregnant or becoming pregnant with, Mark of the Infertile on him. Hmm, The ins-and-outs of Magical Stitching would be very helpful and likely save him a lot of money. He had some heavily damaged items he needed to repair. What's this, Necromancy 101? These abilities it granted would help him out in a pinch that was sure. He took out the book The ins-and-outs of Magical Stitching first and received the following pop up.

He blinked after reading all of that. There was a moment where he paused before he mentally hit, 'Accept' again, but, he wasn't ready for what came next. First was the surprise of the book vanishing within his hand, but after that the world he knew vanished from sight, replaced by a specialty shop. He found himself beginning a new fulfilling life as a special apprentice here. He felt like he spent years worth of studying, focus, and honing of these crafting skills filling his mind, body, and soul. These weren't meager professions, they had life lessons to teach, the discipline and fortitude it took to create even one shirt, dress, saddle, and so forth. It became as easy as breathing with time, but when he finally felt he had learned all the shop had to offer. Something truly bewildering occurred, his eyes opened. The world he had left was still there like nothing had happened and he realized what had really happened. He hadn't moved even an inch. He had truly absorbed all the information that book had to offer. Four notifications were awaiting him.

He smiled reading that while touching his forehead gently and said. "That felt so real though." He let out a breath while looking up slightly, his eyes catching a glimpse of the time. It was 5:58 p.m., wait, what? The process of absorbing that much information took quite a bit of time. He closed those windows and stretched slightly. This was just his sister. It wasn't like she would be that hung up about his new appearance, right? Would he be able to make a passable excuse? He was going to find out soon.
