She pulls you into a deep hug

"Oh! Uh, hey, you alright?" You know it was a dumb thing to ask as it felt as if Kayla was holding onto you for dear life.

She didn't respond, but you could feel her stifling a sob as you returned the hug.

"Here, let's get you inside and warmed up," You said as you closed the door, other arm still holding Kayla in a hug.

You heard her sniffle and she finally broke the hug after a few seconds. "Sorry, Jerry and I just had a fight and I want someone to talk to. And I guess I needed a hug too."

"Hey, anytime," you comforted, patting her on the shoulder. "Go on into the dining room. I'll bring us some pizza and you can tell me all about it."

She walked into the next room, and you followed after getting each of you some of the good 'ol pepperoni and cheese.

You placed the plate in front of her on the table and asked, "So what happened?"

"It's kinda stupid. It started off over an argument about money, and then it escalated to a lot of other topics."

"You want to tell me about it?"

Kayla let out a light sigh. "Yeah"

The better part of an hour and one pizza later.

"And then we got onto how many people Jerry has slept with, and I just had to leave."

"Ah, well I guess Jerry has had a few girlfriends back in the day," you admitted.

"It's not even that really. I guess that just annoys me because he's the only person I've ever actually slept with."
