"Thanks," you say as you pull up your pants. "So, we're done?"

Shizune then tells you not to over do when it comes to mission or finding your best friend who has absconded to be together with Orochimaru. You object that Sasuke is not going there because he has feelings for the snake sannin but Shizune only arch her eyebrows and tell you to get your mind off the gutter as she is not implying any sexual relationship between the two even though Orochimaru is being labelled as a pedophile by few people. What she is trying to say is that you should take your time to enjoy life. Shizune then give herself as an example. Being taken away from the village to follow Tsunade around the world, she can be said to have experienced it all. But when it comes to what matters, she's stunted.

"Stunted?" you ask for clarification, interrupting her.

"Naruto, when you travel around the world, you meet a lot of people, you make a lot of friends, right?"

"I do,"

"Same thing with me," Shizune said wistfully. "Despite Tsunade-sama's gambling obsession, we made a lot of friends," she grins and wink at you, "and most of them are willing to write off her debt even before she becomes Hokage."

"You mean that all this while, she's not in debt?"

"She is. But some of them told me that while they're okay with writing it off since they enjoy having her around as her antics while gambling and drinking are very funny, they mostly keep that debt as an insurance in case they or their family needed some healing. Like a prepaid voucher or something."

"Wow."

"But, despite many friends and connections, I... Tsunade-sama and I, we didn't have any attachment apart from each other. Despite many friends, in the end, there's only loneliness at the end of the day. That only changed when you managed to win the bet with her."

You recall the bet you made with Tsunade that you would learn Rasengan jutsu in a week, which you managed to do, leading to her finally returning to the village and becoming its leader.

"As for you, Naruto, even as you try hard to protect your attachment to Sasuke, you're in danger of losing the chance of making more attachments."
