Ask about your team

“So, how about my team?” You ask Tsunade.

“It’s there in your mission packet but since you obviously didn’t read it, you’ll be going alone for this.” Tsunade raises her hand to forestall your complain. “This is not a full patrol, the one that you’re expecting. We already have a team doing that. Instead, you will be doing a reconnaissance patrol?”

“What’s that?”

Tsunade’s nostrils flares as her face begins to redden. Shizune quickly put a calming hand on her leader. “Half a bottle.”

“One.”

“One. Peacefully. The term the admin uses, not yours.”

“Done.”

Satisfied with the arrangement, Shizune turns her attention toward you. “Please read the mission packet next time before asking questions on something inside it.”

Since Shizune has just saved your life, you decide to nod quietly.

“The mission is for you to go along the south region in order to locate any possible security risks, including those crime syndicates that vie for power in the place. Because of this, it is decided that it would be better to send a stealth specialist instead of a full team.”

You raise your hand.

“Yes, Naruto?”

“Is the information about the stealth specialist mentioned in the mission packet?”

Shizune’s eyes widens before she slowly turns her head toward the Hokage whose expression is unreadable. “Tsunade-sama… May I know why our newest stealth specialist isn’t informed about his appointment?” she asks while making a **** smile. “I recall that his appointment was made three months ago?”

“Three quarter of a bottle,” Tsunade bargains weakly.

“Half.” Shizune says with a sense of finality. She then explains about your appointment as a stealth specialist despite not yet achieving chunnin rank. The appointment allows you to take certain type of missions that require stealth, something that you had hone since your childhood playing pranks on other people. Being a reconnaissance patrol, you’re to rely on your stealth and to avoid combat. But the three people in the office knows that you are more than able to engage a small army if needed.

Shizune continues to explain to you about the mission until she feel that you’re thoroughly informed. Now it’s time for the mission to begin.
